So if a terrorist blew up a air port and killed 1,000 of kids you would support him.Nodscouter wrote...
Sided with the mages, let Anders live and come with me, simply because he blew up a church. I can't not love him even more after that.

Maybe if it was just the pope.

It was far from the true reason I spared Anders, but it helped.

What if there were kids in there praying.Nodscouter wrote...
Air ports are filled with innocent people, can't say the same for churches.

Hahaha! Oh man, are you serious? You're saying that kids are better human beings than the rest of us?xnoxiousx wrote...

If they were in the church, I'd gladly blow them up with the rest of them.

Your one sick puppy (both of you) that I dare say needs to be put down. Or better yet left to die with the pope you hate for whatever reason. Its like people who think the population needs to be reduced. I agree, starting with them. Hell I'm not Christian, and generally militant, but I don't wish death on religious leaders with no cause for it.nicodeemus327 wrote...

Anyways
Male Hawke, Sided with Templars, but went the spare who you can route. Generally good, though not always lawful, but I normally would not listen to slavers, demons, and the like and attack them on sight. I killed Anders, he deserved it no matter your opinion on war and religion, the fact is Civilians dying in a pitched battle is collateral, civilians more so one's who can work out a peaceful resolution is wrong. Not too mention he was turning into a lunatic.
Romanced Merrill, pushed her into rivalry so she gave up the insanity. Isy ran off, Bethany became a Warden.

Honestly, both parties have very compelling reasons to side with them.

Apostate!Hawke sides with the mages throughout Act 3. At the end game, I continue siding with the mages for two reasons. One, I'm a mage. Two, Meredith wants the Right of Annulment because she holds the Circle responsible for the Chantry's destruction. But the Circle's not responsible, Anders is. He has no ties to the Circle and thus siding against the mages makes no logical sense. I turn Anders loose because he was my LI and Hawke can't bear to kill him after losing Bethany and Leandra. When he turns up at the Gallows, Hawke spares him and agrees to run off with him, largely in the hopes he can exorcise Justice from Anders. My final party was Hawke, Anders, Carver, and Varric.

Romanced Anders, Let him live, and even forgave him (she loved him too much). Lost Sebastian when he went back to Starkhaven. Question: Is it possible to not get him as a companion even if that DLC is enabled?
Other Companions:
Merril: Total Renegade. She left Hawke after the battle.
Bethany: Died at Lothering.
Carver: He returned, joined for final battle before returning to his duties as a Warden. Maria was very pleased to see him.
Isabela: Departed before the battle with the Arishok.
Avaline: Stayed for final battle, don't know if she returned to Kirkwall after getting split from Hawke
Fenris: Disliked what Hawke was doing, turned against her. Died.

sided with the mages because M was practically insane and wasn't going to slaughter innocents while Apostate!Hawke was around,
Let Anders live
Thought she was going to have to fight Fenris along with his group of Templar buddies. After telling him 'Is dying by my side really too much too much to ask?', Fenris saw the error of his ways and joined back up with Hawke and co.
Ran away with Isabela, probably on the run from a LOT of Templars. Probably met up with her cousin the Warden Commander somewhere along the way. Or maybe not! Maybe she's half dead in a ditch somewhere, with Isabela nowhere in sight! (but that's all just speculation on my part....)

Managed to keep all of my companions from turning on me but had to kill Anders to prevent a Holy war from happening.
Did a epic rivalry romance with Merrill.
