Hawke because I found it a lot more fun shaping his personality and for lots of little reasons. If the VA was less awesome then maybe it would be different, but as it is it's a home run. I have never looked forward to running through a game again so much in fact, whilst conversely I know nothing will ever be quite like my first playthrough.
So Who Do You Love More? The Warden or Hawke

The Warden, he will always be my character, who's personality and character came from myself. Hawke is BioWare's character that I had some influence on, and really felt just like the other companion characters, someone I found out about as I played the game, but never my character.

I love the Warden and I hate Hawke with a passion. I hope the Warden decapitates Hawke in DA3.

I liked both about equal. What I really liked about Hawke was that she was not dumped in the role of "you are the hero upon which the fate of the entire world rests," but rather a person who did her best to leave the Chantry in disarray (in my game, and what I wanted to do in DA:O) and run off with Anders.
I think it had to do with the story, too, which I really liked. It had good feel to it. There were some things where some of the writers had way too much fun with. I'll start a second playthrough later today.
PS: I would love to load my Hawke for my avatar, but I don't find her anywhere. <_<

The Warden. Because Warden was my character, not Bioware's

Well, I liked Hawke in some ways more. My custom version was very very handsome, and I really liked his voice.
But the Warden actually got to make choices that affected the storyline and had a really epic story. Also, there was way more playtime with the warden. hawke felt like a guest star being there was so little content.
If I had to pick one, I guess it would be my warden.

Hawke, mostly because I personally favor fully voiced character.
This. While I do like my Warden, I'm more inclined to favor a custom created character of my choosing with a voice actor as well. I felt like my Hawke was a character all her own, while my Warden, Hawke's cousin Pepper, fell a little short of that.Being able to emote and Alex's reactions to situations (those snarky lines are hilarious) really fleshed out the character for me.
Hence, I like my Hawke better, and my Warden comes in second.
When I played DA:O, I sometimes voice my character myself, like literally read out the line myself. (yeah... it's kind of scary... when you look at it, lonely girl sitting in front of TV, speaking crazy lines about abomination and archdemon with much emotion....)
But it's not the same, and you get tired easily... fully voiced character is so much better, and sometimes the line surprises me.

I like my Warden but Hawke feels more like an actual person, mostly due to the voice acting and excellent writing for dialogue options

Oh this is like trying to choose which children I like more. I like both the Warden and Hawke as they both function very well as player characters in their respective games. It felt appropriately epic to play the Warden, while I found the Hawke that I guided through the story to be endearing and sympathetic.

I love my Warden, all my Wardens, but I like that now, while I get to play Hawke, my Warden is this almost myth-like larger than life hero. I like to remember my Warden like that, but I enjoy playing as the "not as grand yet" Hawke.
I do hope I get to play as my Warden again at some point, but as it is I prefer to stick to Hawke. The voice acting helps.

Neither, or both, however you want to see it. Both occupy a special place in my personal canon; both are equally as important, and both are toons I've become unreasonably attached to. I can't choose.

I am one of the people who feel that Hawke was a Bioware character that I got to play, where the Warden was my character.
So my Warden, hands down.

Hawke. Warden didn't seem to actually interact with other characters.

Hawke, definitely. I was more attached to the other characters in Origins than my silently listening, po faced warden.

My wardens, like everyone else, they were my characters so I felt much more attached to them than Hawke.

Definitely Hawke. With an actual voice, you can tell how he is feeling and it makes him/her better and more relatable to than the Warden. Plus, the personal trauma that Hawke goes through is a lot greater than the Warden's. How he overcomes those makes him more likeable. (That and his flirting dialogue with Isabela is hilarious at times, so that helps too.)

I have more than one of each. I'd say my favourite is my noble female dwarf warden. Second would probably be my casteless male dwarf warden. Then it goes to any and every Hawke I make(now and forever). Then I guess any random human warden I might make would be last since humans are bland.

Warden... easily. Just more in depth of a character to me since I could roleplay the character much more freely. And in the end, I preferred the dialogue system from DAO more than DA2 since it felt so much more restrictive to me. Especially when I didn't agree with any of the tonal choices offered and didn't have the ability to use my own imagination to input that tone.
