Having recently bought me1; I have encountered an issue which is monumentally annoying.
My Razer Naga mouse causes, severe "screen lag" when I move the cursor. However, my laptop's touch pad does not. And, infact, works fine. But, playing with a touch pad is slightly more difficult.
Notably, this is a top of the line laptop i7 1gb gfx card etc And runs me2 brilliantly. Yet, this mouse issue is really bugging me for me1.
Has anybody encountered the same issue or has any1 got any advice to solve the problem
Cheers
Jon

The touchpad is most commonly recognised as a PS2 interface device, thus having a dedicated hardware link into the system, and requires very little, if any, drivers to run it.
You havent, however, given us any details on your Razor. Is it wireless, USB, or PS2?
Wireless: You will always have some form of lag, as you will always be dealing with interferance in the radio signal, as well as then having to use a USB dongle, which adds a layer of software algortihms on top of the OS control of the cursor.
USB: Because USB is a shared bus, there is a software level which needs to be activated to sprt out the signalas from all other USB devices, and the amount of lag this can generate grows with each device you then hook into the USB ports and/or USB hub you may have.
Another point worth mentioning, is many of these fancy schmancy rodents come with their own sets of drivers, complete with extra functionality for any extra buttons they may have, This in itself could also cause the on screen lag you are suffering from. Disable or uninstall that software, let windows find its on generic drivers, and see how it goes from there.
