Ok, this is my second play through, and I figure i should know the answer to this already, but I don't and i have no idea  how to search these forums efficiently.

I decided to rival Merrill, and court Isabella--if court is the right word. the problem arises in the end part of act 2-I believe I flirted with merrill once to try to boost Isabella's friend status. Later though Merrill comes in to the house to admit her feelings for Hawke. There is absolutely no way to reject her without making her sound like the worst person in the world. However, you can sleep with her and then reject her by telling her it is too soon for love. This however doesn't give her the outfit which I expected, and it doesn't prevent isabella from making her timely return.

Now, in Act 3 Varric and Isabella are saying Merrill and my Hawke are an item...confusion. So does this prevent Isabella from any return to party dialogue in the hanged man? Does it prevent you from the love achievment with Isabella, and does it prevent any further intimacy with isabella..dialogue wise? I'm just curious..ie will Isabella ever move in, and will the ending be changed?
I hate to have to replay the act 2 end again..I've already done it twice...
Or do i just have to be rude as hell with merrill?
