So, lots of people have finished DA2 (or so I'm assuming) and know, after playing DA2, what do you want in DA3?
Personally, I'm hoping the story follows an Ativan Crow ordered to kill both Hawke and the Warden. This in my opinion would incoporate most of the characters (talking to ex party members to track them down) and you'd get to see your favorite (or not so much) player!! Plus you'd have the freedom to choose mage, warrior, rogue or elf, human dwarf. Or it seems like you should be able...
So, what do other Dragon Age fans think???

My 'secret desire' is for DA3 to not suck, like DA2. Though if it does I just won't buy it, problem solved.

Importing Hawke and/or the Warden as NPCs would certainly be interesting, but challenging. The other option is being able to choose between the two for the entire game, or a split campaign
I dunno if Bioware would be willing to do so much work to make such an insane thing happen, but it would definitely make for a unique premise.

That's a good idea, Greta13! I'd like to see something that ties Origins and DA2 together, if that's possible.
I'd like a more epic-feeling overarcing storyline, and more party member interactions/romances. I love Bioware games for those things. I thought the improvement to graphics and gameplay were awesome.
Everwarden, you are a negative nelly.

Anything that doesn't involve Hawke, the Warden, or anything to do with either of their storylines. Old content is old.
Thedas is a big world, let us see it. So far we've seen...Ferelden (aka generic medieval fantasy kingdom) and Kirkwall (a single bland city).
I also secretly desire for Dragon Age 3 to not be available for purchase Q1 2012 at a store near you.

i wish bioware would build an open world, not to make the game like elder scrolls or anything, but so they could create the world and then use it for more than one game. i'd like to see two or three areas the size of Red Dead Redemption, seperated by travel locations, with campsite scattered around the landscape. with the physical landscape and gameplay system locked down, Bioware could focus on telling stories with different characters and NPCs happening in the same region, and the choice effects from one story to the next would be immediate and visually evident. they could add new locations that are self-contained, (dungeons or what not that have an entrance point/loading screen) as needed and get new games out in shorter development cycles, but since they wouldnt have to rebuild a new world totally, the problems of DA2 could be remedied.
this may not be a realistic desire, but one can dream
----reasonably id like more classes and the addition of a 5th party slot to increase strategic options and possibilities.
also the return of skills, (but they give you bonuses,- herbalism gives better effects from potions, poisions more resistance, traps-bonuses to disarm) and the ability for classes other than rogue to lock pick or disarm
return of different races
the ability to use different weapons, new weapn styles and very dangerous memorized spells, talents only usable a certain amount of times a day (with a day/night system or camp rest) or with big cool downs, 30 minutes etc

Fully voice main character, if that's not too much to ask?
The split campaign or Importing both Hawke and the Warden do sound very interesting, thought I doubt Bioware would go the distance for that. It'd be too complex.

I'm secretly hoping BioWare actually has time to develop the game, and actually bothers to ****ing finish the story threads it's been setting up for the past two games.
This means - horror of horrors - the Warde and Hawke should both come back, with a reasonable mix of past companions and new ones, to finish out the storyline they've put into action. Hell of a concept, isn't it?

Two words: Qunari. Companion.
x3
I'd also like it to take place in Tevinter, but it looks most likely that it will take place in Orlais. (That'll be cool, though. X3)

I wish they stick to the course they took with DA2 (person instead of hero, faster paced combat etc) and have the time to completely pull it off the next time around, as opposed to making the combat a bad mixture etc.
I also hope, when the inevitable ****storm ensues, they hire a few more forum moderators :|

Personally, as I do with ME3, I hope for as many companions to return as possible, especially love interests (maybe even go as far as have only the one of the four you romanced in DA2 be still with you...so one companion slot can go to either Merrill, Isabela, Fenris or Anders). I'd like for more recurring characters to be featured in a big way (even though it was hinted at with Leliana, which actually saddened me because it went entirely against how Leliana seemed to be at the end of my main Origins game). I'd love for maybe another recurring Awakening character and in that regard, romancable dwarves! Sigrun and Varric are two of my favorite characters and I'd love them to be available and maybe romancable.
Another thing I'd love is Sandal. As a companion. First dwarven mage!
And I'd be curious, after enjoying the Aveline companion quest so much, maybe additionally to being able to romance your companions, make it so that perhaps we could also influence relationships AMONG companions. Like, once I have settled on a romance, let me play cupid for other characters.
And maybe build upon the companion interaction stuff. As in, the companions interacting with each other. Those scenes in DA2 were always great and I'd like more of that.
And maybe think of ways to make the group you end up with more diverse. Sure, I'm asking for a lot of dwarves there (but they are dwarves, they deserve all the love they can get), but maybe throw in a Qunari (the horned type), maybe a "smart" darkspawn, any such thing.

More pets in general would be interesting. Maybe have them as summons like the dog, but have them in your home/camp etc., again, like the dog, but also like the nug in DAO. Including the minor cutscenes with the pet and the companions.

I want DA3 to return to the high standards of pure RP gaming that bioware set in years gone by.
Involved, absorbing side quests
unique maps
lots of hours of gameplay
story affected by choices

A longer development cycle and a better system to track imported saves.
If the whole point of Dragon Age is the story of the world and the choices the player can make in that world (however few), then the save files that carry data from Origins, Awakening, and DAII need to work flawlessly.

Oh, I'd like them to keep the dungeons fairly small. Better to have more quests that don't last as long than to have one quest where I walk for hours through rooms and fight random enemies until I can't pick up the loot anymore and at some point I may actually get to something story related.
