Zevran's really suprised me. I wasn't expecting that. Or the true fact during a side quest.

I noticed that Zevran gained some weight and lost his tan. I was not surprised as it was very evident early on, who my character was hired to track down. The big surprise for me was Leliana.

Alistair also seemed a bit on the fat side as well. Suprised that they didn't do a Wynne reference with the Mage and Templar war in year 7.

I liked almost everything that in any way related to Origins and Awakening. Except the change in Anders and the fact that it still seems like the Leliana here...doesn't at all fit with the Leliana that was in a romance with my Warden. I don't know...
Zevran was epic though.

Anders was a hot head in Awakening. His going over the edge is reasonable considering the situation in Kirkwall is far worst than in Ferelden. In Ferelden, the First Enchanter and Knight-Commander Gregoir respected each other and worked to keep the mage/templar relations cordial. In Kirkwall, you have templars deliberately making mages into tranquil contrary to the Chantry laws. You have templars arresting and torturing relatives of mages for the crime of giving them a meal. You have templars raping mages. In Ferelden the templars were guardians. In Kirkwall they were brutal sadistic guards. Then there is the influence of Justice.

Leliana was a very religious woman in DAO. She came from the Chantry to help the Warden. When the Warden vanished, it would be very natural for her to return to the Chantry and join the Seekers to find the Warden.

No Oghren or Sten made me sad.

But in my second playthrough where I played my Warden that chose to spare Loghain (to later sacrifice him) and make Anora queen. It was fun to see Alistair in The Hanged Man.

Leliana was missing her excellent modded Sacred Ashes hair and looked silly in her original hair. Alistair was accommodating well into a life as a tavern drunk and gave good laughs with his rants. Zevran... pretty much the same as he was in DA:O. I don't understand why he felt the need to help Hawke in the grande finale. Assassin's shouldn't hold such attachments.

Not only that, but they also sounded fairly similar to him and some even looked somewhat like him.

How are we supposed to find our favourite meatshield now in DA3?

I loved the references to DA:O, they were my favorite parts of the game. They worked great at tieing DA2 to the original story.

I guess where you see Alistair depends on your DA:O ending. I never saw him in the inn but ran into him as a warder on a special mission during the Qunari uprising. Leandra (or however hew name was spelled) was with the seekers at the end and Zev was dead in my game so no side quest with him.

To be honest, I felt like most of them were shoehorned in to give the illusion of continuity with the first game. The concept was better than the execution IMHO.

Leliana's appearance irritated me because of the lack of explanation - the save I imported was the one where my warden romanced her, and I find it extremely lacking that there was nothing mentioned even in passing about why she was no longer with him or knew where he was/what he was up to.

Alistair just randomly being present to fight in the streets when the Qunari revolted was strange.

I might not be remembering DA:O correctly, but I thought the Crows were done chasing after Zev after Taliesin? So it seemed very odd to me that he was still fleeing them. People are saying he shows up despite having killed him in DA:O, which is obviously even worse. I didn't kill him in my DA:O save import though.

I thought Flemeth's appearance was the best, and was excellent at explaining how she survived Morrigan's treachery. Very well executed in the story.

It was cool seeing Alistair again, but I couldn't stop staring at his face and wondering what the hell happened to it. What did they do to your face Alistair!?!? /sob

Nathaniel How was cool... the others I didn't care for. Maybe it's just because of how strange Zevran and Alistair looked. Zevran had an interesting quest, but I am not sure it made a lot of sense for Hawke to meet the King of Ferelden...

In my game, Alistair was king and 9 years of sitting on the throne can make anyone a bit fat.

I liked Leliana's, though had hoped for a little more than what I got. Perhaps future DLC will pull a Lair of the Shadow Broker deal, where you team up with her for... something. Hopefully. I never got my Nathaniel cameo, despite the fact I was ninety-nine percent sure he survived in Awakening. Probably a bug, but oh well. Or maybe I just never found the right quest-giver. As for Alistair, I wasn't really excited; I hated him in Origins. I wanted Loghain to show up in his place, as an emissary or something.

Who do they put in Leliana's place if you killed her during the Urn or Sacred Ashes quest? Please tell me they dont pull a Conrad Verner with her lol.

Edit: Nevermind, just found out they do pull a Conrad Verner with her.  *facepalm*  Let's just pretend that I apparently didnt do ANYTHING in origins or Awakening while we're at it lolPosted Image

they over did it. Hard to enjoy them when Hawke ends up meeting 90% of the people my Warden knew.

Unless Thedas is about the size of Australia it's stupid.
