Honestly, the Origin cameos came off as mostly cheap fanservice.
Bodhan served no purpose beyond telling me that I had mail after Act 1
Sandal was made more mentally retarded than he ever acted in Origins... seriously, he barked at the Mabari for 2 minutes. That being said he, again, slaughtered a bunch of people and was there to let me enchant stuff at the end so kudos.
Alistair - seemed to be one of a few actual nods at a decision you made in Origins, depending on whether he arrived as Drunkard, King, or Warden. I personally had the King Alistair cameo, and honestly this is the one that came off as the most fan service-y of them all. We were told that Orlais is having some second thoughts about letting Ferelden have its independence (Loghain was right.) and that was pretty much it. The rest of it came off like this....
"Hey! Hey everybody! See! SEE! Your choices in Origins, the game that you spent 120+ hours on DID actually matter! And see guys, we even said the joke! Swooping guys! SWOOPING."
Zevran showed up to kill people and have sex.... regardless of whether you killed him in Origins or not..... moving on.
Leliana...... oh Leliana. Another character who may have faced the harsh sting of my Wardens blade, and yet you staunchly show up as the LEFT HAND OF THE DIVINE?! What the hell happened to "I wanted to leave that life behind me. I fear I'm being an evil person. Boo hoo," She went from being the woman who wanted to escape her life as a bard by joining the Chantry, to becoming the Chantrys personal assassin. Andrastes' knicker weasels, will the woman make up her mind?!
Nathaniel Howe: I'm pretty sure you were angry at me for killing the Architect... but now not only did my Warden ally with the Architect, you were pissed that he did? >.< Grr.
Continuity error, please try again.
