Anders crisis

Now when I opened up the DA 2 debug it shows Anders having one as well, that he will stay even if you side with the Templars. Now I have tried all possible things and it is always the same, he refuses, even with a romance in the friendly. But when I used the debug, to "activate" his "crisis" there he is fully voiced, and not bugging at thing. Was it taken out or is there a harden mechanic I missed like the Alistair thing?

Well, as far as I know, he will NEVER help you kill the mages. But you can let him live. If you don't mind Sebastian bringing down the full force of Starkhaven upon you.
Yeah got that ending -.- stupid ass Chantry boy. but there is a option in the Dea debug for Anders having a crisis like Merrill and Fenris. I was wondering if they took it out of the game, because it didn't make sense for him to side with the templars, or if there is a hidden something to activate it. Like I said you can activate it via Debug and it works just fine, so it is "there"

Sure, if you want the debug path I will post it too but here is the dialoge fully voiced and all that jazz:Myusha wrote...
Can you give us the dialogue?
Anders: Is it my weakness that I wished you had killed me instead? Here I am siding with my enimes the Templar's. I can feel Vengeance whelling up inside me scratching to get out. Do you really think we can do this?"
Hawke:*I picked the option with the star like option* Show me you are truly sorry for what you have done Anders.
Anders: You always tried to save me from myself. I was cursed before you met me. If I die now or later, I hope it is Justice that rises from my corpse, not Vengeance. But not matter what happens I will always love you. *they share a kiss*
this is what I got and I romanced him hence the kiss and all that.

Which debug script were you using?
The zz_dae_debug.
If you plot jump in the critical/crisis option to the final conflict stuff in Act three, and manually set some of the comapnions up, Anders has a option that looks like this:
Crisis(Anders stays and will side with the Templars)
If you click it and plot jump to the Gallows he is there with dialoge that matches him choosing to side with them, as it is different from the mages and he even states that he is amazed he is doing it.

Whut? Wow.
ETA: It's probably an ending/option the devs & writers disabled because it doesn't fit with his character very well. It really wouldn't make sense for him to do that for any reason at the endgame, in love or no.

I am glad this isn't in the final game, then.

Ditto.
Otherwise all that "more important than you or me" goodness would be moot. Among other things.

Yeah that's what I figured just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some stupid hidden "harden" thing like I did with Alistair.
I agree though it wouldn't make sense for him to join, but it seems like worded like he was making up for killing all those innocent people, and he agreed to that. But my heart isn't breaking that this isn't in the "core" game.

I shall Fraps it and post it then. I kinda wish it was still in the game. I mean it would gave him the chance to some what make up for what he did I guess, but I can see why they kept it out.

I know right?! It's like he starting to realize what he did, and is feeling guilty as hell for it.

Am I the only one who thinks that they should have allowed this? Makes sense if you have a lot of influence with him...
No I sorta thought it should have stayed in, because if you can get Fenris to side with the damn mages and Merrill with the Templar's(their crisis points) then you should beable to get Anders as well, mostly if you romanced him.
However I think they took it out because he became the main focus at the end. Which pissed me off to no end, honestly I felt like I was a secondary character to him at points.
But none the less it would have added more depth to him if they kept it.
