I lack the interest to replay two games for that. Especially since Leliana, Nathaniel, Zevran, and the like will be alive in DA2 regardless of your choices.

Depressing? It's a pretty good ending for Sebastian, Merrill, The Warden, Hawke and Varric. Five people get a happy ending in my ideal save file. That's way happier than the various bandits who get killed.

I already have a playthrough in Origins that I killed everyone off but Loghain and Morrigan. I couldn't kill her though even if it were possible.

And you don't kill her.><

Nope, ther's just no way to kill him in game. Same with Varric. And I can't kill both Merrill and Aveline.

I bet Oghren still isn't dead if you leave him ill upgraded Keep. He will probably wake up a few days later without any pants on, just another Tuesday for him lol

Actually Lelianna doesn't "die" defending the ashes, she's just left for dead according to David Gaider. She'll still show up in later games, but just be pissed at the Warden. Kinda-sorta same thing with Morrigan in WH.

So when I did a beheading on leliana she just gets up and keeps walking??? I found that super strange!

Well Leliana's Song took place in Denerim when that entire event was supposed to have taken place in Orlais, right?

Having your head disintegrated by a greatsword and then living afterwards doesn't sound so far-fetched after that.

deathblow animations are not indictitive of story progression.

my US DA:O playthrough alistair got the killing blow on the archdemon, that whole fancy jumping headstab thing. flat out killed the thing, then i ran up and stabbed it so i could die gloriously even though alistair already killed it in a gameplay animation.

I mean...the Warden can kill an Archdemon, but apparently cannot kill a simple human.
