Anyone know if any pre-set Origins story will let Sophie live and give me the Terrors on the Coast quest? I've played it through a few times and no luck so far.
So... Robes are too......Robe-like...

Wait, who? Sophie? Wait, are you talking about Sophia Dryden?
If so, which act is the Terrors on the Coast quest in?

Yes, Sophia Dryden. Apparently it's in act 1 but I haven't found it. It only happens if you let her live in Warden's Keep and I'm not sure if it can happen with a pre-set.

Well, I've played The Martyr and the one below it, the Dwarf one. However, if even the Dwarf one doens't have it, I doubt the Hero of Fereldin pre-made will. However I heard that if you get certain things done in DA:O you can load that game eve nif you havn't finished it. I was told that it will load as if you died killing the Archdemon and will randomly select outcomes for things you havn't yet completed in the story. Never tried it myself though.

The Heavy Velvet Robes are from the mage shop in the Gallows

Thankyou. And which act was that again?

I really like the Robes of the Void you get from the Hightown robe shop right at the beginning of Act 2. They look more like a nobleman's formal robes than "wheee I'm a wizard!" robes. Good stats, too, and cheap at 10 sovereigns; I think they're the best you can get until the Overseer Robes. 151 ARM, +36 mana.

The Robes for the PC in the game look so awful....Yet, there are many characters in the game that have great looking robes. Chantry, Kirkwall Circle characters...I guess they just lumped all the lamest robes in the game exclusively for the PCs!

The Vestments of Sacrifice look like the Chantry robes. I found them in a chest at the end of Nathaniel's quest in Act III, though they weren't that great as compared to robes I already had (IIRC, the armor rating was lower than the Notorious Pirate robe from Act II; I didn't like the look myself, so I don't remember any of the other benefits from the robe).
