I use Chain Lightning and Tempest at pretty much every battle. But electricity is the only element I use. Everything else my character is focused on is party healing (Spirit Healer) and AoE (Force Mage). Is that extra 24% of elec. damage worth it? I'd hate having to spend 140 sovereigns on a robe just because it benefits only one of my elements. Other than the electric bonus, it also provides +2 to all attributes, +28% healing to my character, and 1 rune slot.
Champion Armor in the other hand provides 561 armor, +100 mana, +290 atk., +4 mana regen., and +4 magic. I use Rock Armor from the Primal school and it gives me 25% armor +100% with Galvansim. I would get a major armor boost but why would I need that much armor when the ones getting hit the most are my tanks? The mana bonus it provides caught my attention because +100 mana is alot IMO.
Please give me some suggestions and tips. I could always respec my character so if you think I should get some respeccing done then I'll do it. I'll only take advice from people who've played as a mage on hard-nightmare difficulties.

Champion armor any day of the week, 24% is not a great increase on the mage spells. You won't kill much faster since mage spells are not the most damaging abilities in the game and CCC boost them plenty.

For 109g, you can get a ring from the mage vendor on the Wounded Coast that will give you a nice stamina regen bonus and +24% damage for fire and electricity.
