Hi guys some questions:

1. Is there no jumping at all in this game?

2. What happens to the items given to a chara if he/she leaves my party?

3. What does it mean when it says 'add party members to group?' I assume party members are the three who are following me around? So what is group then?

4. Why is it that most loot has restriction Longstaff (that neing my main chara's name)? Is this becuase the items are 'no drop' (ie as in EQ)  and I have him selected when I loot, or is it just the way things are and most of the loot is restricted to the main chara? My main is a mage and quite often the loot better suits other classes ....

5. If I want a party member to drink a health pot which have placed on his quick bar do I have to switch from main to that party member or is there a quicker/shortcut for doing it?

Thanks!

1) No jumping. Bioware insist on developing their games using an engine that was created in 1874 by H.G. Wetwhistle who accidentally came across the idea when he was trying to create the first SimCity. It was developed enough to be successfully used in Baldur's Gate games, but since then the only new development was to let you rotate the camera.

2) The character will keep the items, and use them in their daily lives, always thinking of you and your generosity, and wishing that they could be with you on your adventures.

3) The words group and party are interchangeable and mean the same thing. The three who are following you around are actually homeless people who are pretending to help you in the hopes that you will eventually get bored of the constant looting of all the corpses, and then they can swoop in and become rich beyond their wildest dreams.

4) Most of the items in the game are restricted to the main character, because they were required by EA to make this game in a single afternoon, and then pretend that it took them 12 months. So putting hefty limitations of which characters can use which items made things a lot simpler for them. It's a shame you didn't start with Dragon Age Origins which unlike this, was actually a real game, and you could do far more.

5) Yea you have to switch to them and click the icon. Although you can just pause so that you don't lose any time switching.

Hi Mike! To answer your questions:

1.No, you don't need to jump in this game

2. yes, the items you give to a character are gone for good if they leave

3.The group is you+the three guys you brig along. The game was made to be played with a group of 4, but you can play with less, too, though I think more party memmbers add to the fun

4.The armor you find in the game is restricted to your char, the companions have their own and you can only equip them with weapons or rings, belts & amulets

5.Yes, to quick heal a character you must click on him/her first

Hope this helps!:)
edit: damn, hit submit too soon:pinched:

hmmm so how do I add a fourth or is this a spoiler and the answer will become clear in due course as I break out of play school?

Or do I need to unsheath a 12 incher to draw the attention of potential members (members indeed). I am not called longstaff for the sound of it ....

Anytime, thumbs up for playing EQ by the way. One of my favourite games.

And yeah you meet people as you go along.
