Personally I wish I could kill Orsino before Act 3. He was aware of the necromancer, yet he helped him supplying him books and was aware of what he was doing.

I would personally track him down in Darktown and have Fenris put the hurt on him. He and his former mate just killed MamaHawke.

Interesting. I never saw him again after I let him go.
I've been trying to get footage of this exchange, without success -- I can't seem to keep Gascard alive through All That Remains. Can you tell me a little about what you did? What's your Hawke's dominant personality? Who did you take into the killer's lair with you (not Varric, obviously)? What dialog options did you pick?mnomaha wrote...

I know how to keep him alive through the Emeric quest. What's giving me trouble is keeping him alive through the conversation in the killer's lair in which Quentin offers to take him on as a student again. He blows off all three of the dialog options I'm given.genocidal villain wrote...
After that templar died for believeing hawke wrote him a letter, but it was a false letter that got him killed, there will be dialog choices and you have to pick the 3rd one. it something about "it's not that simple" i forgot. hawke will say that gascard is innocent or something
I got a star option with which Hawke can persuade him in the killer's lair... don't know though what I did previously to get it.Twofold Black wrote...

I remember seeing the note from "O." in Gascard's house, but is that confirmed to be Orsino? (There must be Circle mages named Oswald or Oscar or whatever...) If so, that will make my templar-friendly playthrough feel much more satisfying.
Thanks for the confirmation that there is, in fact, a dialogue option that I'm not receiving. I suspect it's linked to dominant personality -- what is your Hawke's?Ashley_82 wrote...

It's confirmed. Orsino himself admits to it if you side with the Templars.
Sarcastic... dunno though, it doesnt seem like the reason to get this option. Maybe depends on certain earlier dialog choices with him? (but don't ask me to recall them^^)Twofold Black wrote...
