Ok so I found out from the Dragon Age wiki that you get the Ensalin chest piece only if you fight the bar patron during the "Offered and Lost" quest. But I missed that opportunity since I turned him in to Aveline. Is there any other way I can get the chest piece? There are mentions of finding it later from some vendors but I have visited every merchant and no luck so far.

If you go to the top left (can't think of any better directions) of the Wounded Coast, there is an unmarked mage merchant, I got the impression that was where you could buy it.
In the map on the wiki (http://images.wikia....d_coast_map.jpg) I think it's right at the top ot the branch the player is in, if not it's the upward branch just to the right, hope that makes sense and I'm remembering properly!

I checked that out but he only has mage wear on him. There is no Ensalin armor. I guess I can retreat to an earlier save and not let Aveline take the man away.
