Computer (right click) / Manage (click) / Event Viewer (double click) / Windows Logs (double click) / Application (click) & scroll down to see the Red Circle and Yellow Triangles .........Errors and Corruption.
I was phoned up by a third party (Anti-Virus etc people) to inform me of this corruption on my computer, and i am in the process of taking out expensive protection for my computer for the next 5 years, as it seems that my Norton Internet Security 2011 has let me down.
I would like to know if any other players have a similar problem ?
I was unaware of this, and i was just waiting to get the next patch, so that my "login problem" could be resolved.
I am no computer expert, and i have not posted this to bring condemnation to Bioware or Norton or anyone. Just trying to provide information and feedback.
Question .........can we be sure as to the integrity of our DVD Signature Edition discs ?
I upgraded to patch 1.01 and upgraded my NVidea to the latest drivers.

Thankyou so much for the "Heads Up". I have cancelled my Credit Card and will not have any more to do with these people. I will be taking further security measures as well.

The saying goes "don't believe anything you read on the internet" - with all the unsollicited calls these days you might as well add "don't believe anything you're told over the phone" to that as well...
My stance on unsollicited calls is simple: I don't answer them. If I somehow do answer them, the moment I realize it's unsollicited spam, I tell them as politely as possible not to call me again and hang up.

No problem - sadly there are a lot of people out there keen to use shady methods to part you with your hard earned cash, I'm just glad I was able to help stop them ripping you off.
If they directed you to a website or asked you to download anything to your PC to give them remote access it is possible that they could have installed malware on your PC or retrieved personal data from your machine - this may not have happened, but just in case I provide the address below for Malwarebytes which you can download for free and can scan your system for malware - I'd also be inclined to change my PC passwords after doing that, and if you keep any data such as bank Personal Identification Numbers or account information saved in a document on your PC I'd also suggest giving your bank a call and requesting that they send you a new PIN and watch for/block any unusual activity on your account - it's unlikely to be a problem, because the aim of this particular scam is usually to get you to make a payment for some sort of advanced anti-virus software that actually doesn't exist to solve a "problem" that does not exist either - but if it were me I'd rather err on the side of caution.

Hiya Epona222 & ty again.
I have only just got back online, my security expert used and installed the Malwarebytes program and closed all ports etc for me. Now i use a cleaner program for regularly cleaning all temp files aswell, which just means reentering all my info to login to this forum for example. Takes a bit longer, but i am putting security first now, as i have been recommended not to hold any web history or passwords on my computer. Fortunately there is no trace of any hidden backdoor applications.

I usually try to sell something of my own to them (the dishwasher, usually).Miriel Amarinth wrote...

Sadly, they always hang up.
Or I just pretend there's some kind of interference.
And if I don't want to bother with any of the above, I just slam the phone on the hook.
