Did I miss a memo or something? I have purchased and registered the game and am unable to alter Hawke's appearance in either the main game intro or the magic mirror in the DLC. I can select one of the premade options, but no matter what I do, I cannot alter the individual features of his face.
Am I "special" or just not seeing any info on this issue?

You can customize all presets except the default Hawkes. If that somewhow doesn't work then you're indeed a special case.

Like Fred said, slide the bar to the right until the options light up. There are also mods that allow you to edit the default appearance and even use that hairstyle.

Same thing in ME, default Shepard cannot be "tweaked". You have to start over from scratch. Which really sucks since the default shepard seem to have alot of "exlusive" facial features that you cannot apply to your own.
A way to encourage people to play the default Hawke/Shepard perhaps over making their own?
