In short no. Voting with my walled I don't like the direction that DA2 took the franchise.
exactly - I just want them to release a patch so I can actually finish my playthrough correctly and trade the game in before the trade in value drops...

I wouldn't replay the game for any mid-campaign stuff until after it's patched (what I'm waiting for before I get the Sebastian dlc (getting sick of not seeing [No spoilers]'s cameo yet..)). But post-campaign dlc I'd buy straight away.

Gaming companies have no reason to make expansion packs with gamers willingly paying $7.50 to $10 multiple times for much smaller DLC's.

I wouldn't call that a solid story. It just took the plot points that her side-quests from Origins already said and then padded them out with random mobs. All the Origins DLC got terrible reviews, Leliana's Song getting one of the better Metacritic scores of the lot (66/100 for the PC version) so I hope any future DA2 DLC learns from the errors of the Origins stuff and gives us something that feels like new content rather than re-using the areas from the main game and just adding about 10 minutes of dialogue in, like the Origins DLC did.MrTijger wrote...
Depends what the DLC is. If its a feastday pack then probably not, if its a solid story like Leliana's and the other good ones then yes.
By contrast, Lair of the Shadow Broker got 87/100 on Metacritic and it's noticeable that not only was the plot a new addition rather than retreading old ground, it also had new areas and new gameplay elements. It felt like a mini-expansion pack rather than something a fan made in a week.

More button mashing and visiting the same cave for 5-10 bucks. I learned my lesson.

Certainly DA2 has been a nice wake up call for me regarding this particular franchise.

But before that there needs to be a patch. If they can offer customer service, we can talk about future purchases, simple as that.

my money's on dynasty warriors 7. cause when i buy a mindless hack and slash game, i get just that, a mindless hack and slash. with da2, i expected ...more rpg, . and less bugs.

This game is such a huge disappointment after DA:O and Awakenings that I can hardly motivate myself to even play it, let alone add to the pain.

New items/appearance: Probably not. Not worth it, especially not if the community manages to create new item mods for it by themselves, which they definitely will eventually.
I really do hope BioWare focuses more on post-campaign quests or the gap between the different acts for DA2 DLCs.

I passed on the Darkspawn Chronicles, Feastday gifts, and Leliana's Song. I bought everything else though.
