I like the combat enough to buy DLC if it has unique locations and maybe some better choices.

Yes. I will. I rather enjoy BioWare games, including their DLC.

So yeah, not going to happen. It was Bungie at first. Then Bungie got full of themselves and neglected their community. Bioware was next in line. Then ME2 happened. Now DA2 happened. Next is Bethesda. Looking at Skyrim, it looks like they're the only ones who aren't straying from their core standards.

No. For three reasons. One, the game's replay value is almost non-existant. I had to drag myself through the second playthrough. Two, it will probably be like ME2's DLC's - side quests with no companion interaction at all. And lastly, I won't support a developer who's Lead Designer is so full of himself he can't admit his failure, yet decides to stab the fans who made him who he is in the back.

The "-Polite" thing isn't doing much for ya. And comparing a company that creates First Person Shooters to game that makes Role Playing Games... hum, just hum.
And if it was so bad, why did you play through twice? /doh

I'll pass on it if it were only weapons and armor. I only want mission based dlc.
Makes sense. Appearence DLC was kind of cool on ME2 but it'd be pretty pointless on DA2 in my opinion.

Different classes, is the answer I know for a fact I couldnt stand playing warrior, but however playing as a shadow bow rogue, made the experence fun. Also most of the time your playing through something 1st time your hellbent on beating the game and coming on here and tell the world how much it sucked. When you know what to expect, usually second time around, you try a new class or tactics and can really judge the "nitty gritty" of the experence.

I'm not sensing the connection you're trying to make... The reason Bungie was included in the above list wasn't because of their genre, but because of their pompous behavior after Halo: CE and 2 became successful. They became arrogant. Bioware's becoming the same way. Laidlaw thinks he has it all going on, when in fact he doesn't. He's too full of himself. I won't support a developer like that.
As for why I played it a second time, how else would I compare replay value if I didn't have two playthroughs? It became evident about halfway through the game that everything was happening exactly the same was as the previous playthrough. They give you the illusion of choice, yet you have none. DA2 is extremely linear. It's not even an RPG, its an Action Adventure game with very few rpg elements sprinkled in there.

Unfortunatly the 'knowing what to expect' part is why I stopped playing after 5 days. Somehow the thought of going through the Flemmeth cutscenes then act one again sort of put me off.
No, I will not be buying any DLC. I sort of object to having to buy content that might finish off a game I've already paid full price for, and resent the idea of having to replay something I feel apathetic about to see something that *might* be slightly more interesting for five minutes than before.
Now the ME2 DLC's, at least the ones with new missions, are things I probably will get one way or another when I can afford to do so - which right now I can't. Since I just spent money on something else.

Of note I did not buy any DLC or the expansion for DA:O due to some glaring bugs and borderline broken combat system but I feel they did do a better job with DA2 so I'm on the fence.

No. Cannot see giving crap developers/story writers any more of my money. Bioware strategy seems to be - create a fun, interesting first in series game...see its success, then make a sequel that removes everything great from the original. First ME, now DA. I'm done.
You hit it on the nail. DA2 has received the same treatment ME2 has. They're both action/shooter games, respectively. They may have a few rpg elements in them, but they're primarily Action/Shooters. Bioware needs to get their act straight. There is no middle ground. Trying to appease two fan bases will only result in resentment. It's either an RPG or a Shooter/Action game. The only product I will buy from Bioware will be ME3, and Arrival. And that's simply for the sake of completing the story. Fortunately, this is Hawkes only story so I don't have to feel obligated to play the second since it was such a horrible first.
