I like the combat enough to buy DLC if it has unique locations and maybe some better choices.

I can see the add campaign for the DLC.......

*New Adventures that take place NOT in one of the 4 locations you have seen way too much of* or *we promise to hide our resuse of maps and fix the mini map to obfuscate it*

I give up on this game, and should have when the mouth peice for Bioware during a 30 minute interview, talked about how big a waste it was for them to detail the Mage Tower with books, lab implements and other details. He went on to complain that all the varied locales were way too much variation, and could have been sold as seperate games even!

I blame myself, he was just setting us up to be happy with a zero detail world and the same maps over and over.

Go ahead and flame me, even several flames will be ok, I'm kinda used to waves.

Not before seeing some good -user- reviews about it. The days of me blindly buying anything fantasy rpg related from Bioware are over as of DA2.

No. To disappointed with the game, and no DLC can fix this.

Witch is a shame, since I like a good DLC now and then, it often inspires me to do a new playthru.

We'll see. Depends on the actual DLC. (Return to Lothering? :D) And if the reviews are positive.
If there will be a DLC that adds more conversation with your companions, I'm definitely buying that - but somehow I doubt there will be something like this.

Not a chance. Sebastian turned out to be awful. I can't even bring myself to do a second playthrough.

I'll buy it after a week maybe or at least when I'm sure there's no game-breaking bug.

I pre-ordered the Signature Edition for my PS3,so I already have all the current DLC offered, but yes... I am 99.9% sure I will be buying any future DLC. What can I say? I still love the DA games despite their flaws. (I have played through DA:O 12 times- and that's just playing as the female Warden!) I'm on my 2nd run with DA2 now.

Wow.  After reading some of the "boo-hoo, poor me" comments in this and other threads, then looking @ who's repeatedly complaining, the total number of forum members and then the total number of sales on this game.....

It looks like the majority of the people who've bothered to come to this forum at all have simply come to complain, whine and moan about how they don't like this game.  It'd be one thing if it was just a comment or two saying it sucks.  But there's constant moaning about how Bioware should fix the game.

Considering the sheer number of people who HAVE NOT come to the forums contrasted with the total sales of this game, I'd say, barring the fact that some complainers aren't coming to the forums at all, and considering that there's been NO write-ups by major or even semi-major gaming publications (like there were immediately after the release of other major titles where die-hard fans were complaining in droves, such as Call of Duty MW2) expressing all the "issues" this game is having I can only come one, very obvious conclusion:

YOU ARE THE MINORITY.  I know, it sucks, it doesn't mean you're wrong, it just means most people who bought this game either love it, like it, or at least don't hate it.

If they patch the game .. maybe. Then it depends on what the DLC is. I won't buy alternate appearance packs or weapon packs. I never bought them, for ME2. Stuff with story and gameplay, maybe.

Patch first.

Oh yeah where is AUTO-ATTACK for the consoles?
How about them Friendship Bugs?

Yeah aside from lair of the Shadow Broker and Operation Overlord(to a lesser extent) I have never seen DLC that actually added anything substancial to a game. It just feels tacked on and never seemlessly intergrates.

Yes, for DLCs that expand or continue the story.
No, for new items/dresses/strange things like Darkspawn Chronicles.

yes

as long as it's not "Buy the socks of Asgaard the Wicked! Asgaard was a strange demon of Pride who did not want to wreak havoc on the world of mortals, making his name an ironic one. Instead, he took great, even fanatical, interest in how his human disguise looked to the general public. He made sure everything he wore was perfect, but every pair of socks he bought displeased him. Until one day he finally found a pair he loved. He employed a Tranquil Mage and a Dwarven smith to enchant them so that if he ever lost them, he could find them easily. The enchantment worked and made them very powerful, but the act of easily finding them was never made possible. Asgaard soon fell into a deep despair, longing for the Fade to reclaim him. Some say Asgaard found a way back into the Fade, some say he made himself a demon to be feared as his name suggested, and others say he is still in the realm of mortals, searching for his socks."

DLC is bad. I loved DAO, but the DLC that I bought for that game fit poorly and made the game too easy.
