Because Sandal is going there...

And there is no Dragon Age without Sandal... No Sandal, no party Posted Image

Dragon Age without Sandal would be like Gordon Freeman without a crowbar...

Err, Awakening didn't have Sandal either. Perhaps we will run into Herren and Wade in the Anderfells?

I sometimes feel like the only one who doesn't like Sandal.

In DA3 you will play as Sandal, who is actually an old god, and your party will consist of the Warden, Hawke, Shepard, Gordon Freeman, Darth Vader and Ser Pounce-a-lot.

"Not enchantment."

I'm not a big Sandal fan either...  I love Bodahn though, and you can't have one without the other.

Yes, but you forgot to name Marcus Fenix and Geralt! Posted Image

He was cool in DAO, but after that he was starting to become a caricature of himself, especially in DA2.

Geralt is from the Witcher.

Marcus Fenix... I believe that's Gears of War. Never played it myself, but I think that's the protagonist.

There are other references pointing that it is probably going to happen in Orlais..
Grand Cleric is in Orlais, Leliana and Cassandra are Seekers from Orlais...

The Nexus Golem even mentions Orlais...

Heres for Shepherd in DA3 : )

Not to mention the apparent war on the horizon between Ferelden and Orlais.

The Seeker is from Navarra, since she's a Penthagast. She also doesn't have a French accent.

Yeah Orlais is where DA3 is. Ferelden v. Orlais, Mages v. Templars, Sandal and Bodahn, the Seekers, the Nexus Golem mentioning the Stone from Dwarven religion is there, Morrigan making her journey there, Flemeth being dropped off by Hawke just east of there, the apparent bickering in Orlais between universities and the Chantry, and an aging/dying Divine needing an heir.

Remember when everyone thought DA2 would be set in Orlais?

I'm not saying we won't go there. I think it's a strong possibility myself. But you could make a case for Tevinter too. Or anywhere, really. Speculation at this early stage is pretty broad.

Who would want to go a land of fashion and shoes! And sneaky assassins. I have always hated shallow and dishonest places like that! If you want to fight, then you fight! Don't send assassins behind my back!
Bah! Shoes are the things that keep your legs warm!

I just hope that Sandal isn't supposed to be important, I just can't take him seriously. Hope he is there just for hints, prophecy and enchantments, other than that I hope he has no importance whatsoever or this story will turn into a joke.

I wouldn't argue against going to Orlais, but it aint fact until DA3 is announced or it states it in a DLC or an expansion, if there is one.

I think he is the ultimate evil in the end XD not really but it would be amusing the greatest threat.  Flemeth vs Sandal...kinda scary thought actually

As long as it's much bigger than Kirkwall.

Yeah, there are a lot of subtle hints as to where its going to be according to IGN. I kind of hope it isn't. I LOVE the idea of Orlais. It sounds beautiful, but I have a feeling there will be a lot of conflict with athiests players who cannot seperate the Chantry from Christianity (Orlais being a cultural hub for the Chantry). That, and location wise Orlais is pretty far away from everything else in Thedas. Its like.. on the outskirts. :x There is a lot of room for plot and story, which would be exciting after some people were upset with DA2. Undecided.

IGN be trollin'.

What?

Orlais is supposed to be like France/Italy. There is a LOT of color and rich culture. I'm assuming a lot of insane romantic architecture.
