It's fine that you don't care that you would be denied content because you hated one guy yet the person that hated another who is non-returning killable wont be denied anywhere near as much content as you. Funny how fairness works when they all had equal chances of death and possible explanations for leaving betweem ME2->ME3, right?

Wrex wasn't a squadmate in ME2 even though he was my favorite.

I think I can deal with it.

They don't all have equal chances of death, some are less likely to die than others. If you check the suicide mission guide you can see who is more likely to die. Compare it to an 86% survival rate and add the use of the most popular characters as squadmates and you can pretty much reach a fair conclusion about who was most likely to survive.

That wasen't directed at you, kitty. It was to the other with a Garrus Avatar who I still find ironic that he believes he makes a point when he doesn't mind others are getting screwed since Garrus is already getting in.

Also, don't you know? Words don't hurt anyone with half a brain.

You realize the absurdity of bringing back EVERY ME2 squadmate correct? Bioware probably realizes this too, but instead of handwaving the entire plot of ME2 by dumping an entirely new squad on the player they decided to bring back a fan favorite to ease the transition into a mostly new squad.

Yes Garrus is my favorite, and yes he is the overall favorite. If 75% of a target audiance prefers Orange Kool-Aid over Lime Kool-Aid's 30%, and both are likely to be discontinued, which one would you make a more notable effort to revive if given the chance?

To be honest, I really don't have anything better to do.  Saturday night, and it's raining.

You don't know that others are getting - in your words - "screwed" - yet.  You simply don't have the information to make that statement.  You are jumping to conclusions.

We do not know nearly everything about ME3 at this point in time.

Oh, not pointing fingers or anything. I've done my share of troll-fishing myself.

Just struck me as amusing. One must keep one's head in the midst of turmoil and all that.

Huh.  Elite's awfully quiet.  I wonder if he took off or he's cooking up the rebuttal to end all rebuttals...

I'm not being too much of a jerk, am I?

I am really interested to see how Bioware intends to explain this to "Whole Team is Jacob" fans; we have a sig and everything.

They have LOT of 'splainin to do.

Hehe, I love your Infinite Jacob signature. But personaly I will be content with just one Jacob making it to ME3. Or perhaps Infinite Jacob pretending to be just a single Jacob... "I saw enough variables at Eden Prime, I say space them."

Elite this article just proved you wrong. Man up and admit it or you're getting no respect from me.

Man up? Please, this is the internet. When did I ever need your respect to do and say as I pleased? Besides, I mentioned that this was a possible scenerio Bioware would take. I considered it highly unlikely since I had faith Bioware wouldn't screw over the rest of their ME2 fanbase and playing favorites with a select few.

When ME3 hits you will see many of these topics.

"Why isn't {Insert Name} a Squaddie but {Insert Name} is even though they both could die in ME2?"

Awnser - Bioware doesn't care about the ME2 Killables but Garrus and Tali. Thus you romanced the wrong crewmembers if you wanted them to stay with you for ME3.

It is impossible to make everyone happy. It is impossible to be totaly fair. But by including Garrus (and probably a few more of the more popular characters who are still popular even if some may hate them) BioWare are trying to make as many fans (read as: potential buyers) as possible happy while making as few fans as possible unhappy.

Why does it have to be that no one gets anything they want or everyone gets everything they want for you? It is impossible to do the later and economicaly unwise to do the former. All BioWare and everyone else who wants to sell anything can do is to specialise their product to suit a certain group of consumers wich inevitably makes the product less desirable for a, hopefully smaller, group of consumers.

Life isn't fair. The only way to make things fair would be to replace every squadmate and potential buyer with Infinite Jacob.

I see this thread derailed just nice and quiet.

Now, we need more Infinite Jacob to resolve this problem.

I wouldn't celebrate Garrus' victory over the variables just yet. He may be a die hard (probably with Tali), but may ultimately be beaten to just one mission, like Liara in the LoTSB.

Should I quote this then?

And keep it you know, for future use.

Elite Midget wrote...

Now I know you're just bored.

Just because Bioware chose to defy Logic doesn't change the fact that they put these facts into their own game. You may not agree with them but they're there.

Defy Logic (phrase): To make a game based on collecting squadmates, as the second act of a trilogy requires you to collect all the necessary resources that will appear in the third act. However, you decide that you won't have any character return and make the whole plot of Mass Effect 2 essentially pointless.

You should remove Liara and Kaidashley from your sig, since they never had any relation to the Variables and thus you guys are just making idiots of yourselves.
