Hi all,
So I was messing around with the skydome.dds and the fx_skynoise.dds textures(found in NWN2_Materials).
I noticed if skydome.dds is used for the SkyDomeModel in an area not running day/night cycle, it looks like a night sky. If an area is using day/night cycle, skydome.dds is also used in conjunction with fx_skynoise.dds. I'm guessing fx_skynoise causes the stars to sparkle.
If day/night cycle is true, and if either of those textures are completely black, the stars are completely gone.
Anyone think of any possible problems that might occur if I were to use those two textures for custom night skies?

Not sure why you would want to override a default skydome when making new custom ones is easy enough.

Well, it's more because I didn't know what was used for the night sky with the day/night cycle. Now that I know what texture the engine uses for that, I can edit it, make my constellations, maybe another, farther away moon, add a nebula....

That sounds like a cool idea. Perhaps you could post some screenshots when you get it up and running?
