I am pretty sure that TV's Nathan Fillion is the Elf, Sarel, in the Dalish camp. If not, it sure sounds like him (with a bit of bad English accent on top).  He was a villain in Jade Empire so it is not much of a stretch.

Shiny.

Captain Janeway is Flemeth. Which I think is hilarious.

And Commander Tuvok is the head Dalish elf. I guess those ex-Voyager actors are hard up for work.

Yeah, the first time I heard his voice, I thought to myself, "Now where have I heard this voice before...," then I looked at the pointy ears and it all made sense.:)

I thought Kate Mulgrew did a fantastic job as Flemeth. I liked that she was ambiguously and indirectly dangerous-sounding.

I think she did a great job too. I just kept picturing her reading the lines and chuckled.

Also, did anyone else think that the Human Noble father sounds like Sean Bean?

Yeah, I thought she was good as Flemeth. Oh, it WAS Tuvok - rofl - no wonder he sounded familiar. <3 Nathan Fillion btw (whether or not he was, in fact, that elf).

Hmm...I just loaded my Dalish Camp save and I don't hear the resemblance in voice.

Sarel does not sound like Nathan Fillion IMO.

I believe Branka is voiced by Flemeth's voice actor too. They sound really similar.

While he is, indeed, a god amongst men, he is not credited with any role in Dragon Age. :(

Not many of the voices are credited.

Nathan Fillion is not Sarel. I don't remember who did Sarel, but not him.

We didn't have Nathan in the game at all, which is too bad. I originally wanted him for Alistair (Alistair was kind of written with his voice in my head), but then we decided that if he had to do an English accent (and who knew if he could?) then the benefit of having it be Nathan Fillion was sort of wasted at that point.

Thankfully Steve Valentine worked out very well.

I am amused by how closely the dwarf merchant in the party camp is mimicking Michael Cain's voice. Damn good impersonation.

I don't think this can be overstated - he did a fantastic job!  All of the voice acting is great, but his really stood out for me.  :)

Steve Valentine also played Flynn in Uncharted 2. Evil, evil, backstabby Flynn. But the voice-work and writing were so well done that I didn't even notice until the boyfriend pointed it out.

Though if Nathan was playing Alistair, I would never be able to play with another romance option again. Even my male characters would be bromancing Alistair. So in terms of romance replay value, it's probably a good thing.

Agreed, but the bad guy would have to be at least as epic as was Irenicus, one of the few villains who appears to have at least partially read the Evil Overlord Handbook.

I'm not so certain I can say any of the VA's did poorly. DA:O really, REALLY raised the bar for game acting IMO.

I STILL am dying to know who did the voice of Cyrion (your father in the city elf origin). Someone else please go load it up and listen....

I know who *I* think it sounds like, but i wouldn't want to embarrass myself if i'm wrong.

Really, you guys did a great job with both the writing and the voice acting. Alistair is not only voiced very well indeed, but he is also a particularly well written character and I enjoy having him in my party.
