Haha I bet they have some great sessions together, they seem very creative. The "two hunters" joke in KOTOR just before you enter the Sith Academy is an all time classic. If I met them, the first thing I'd ask them is to hear some of the more mature jokes they came up with that had to get cut from previous games.Brenon Holmes wrote...
No no, those are the writers. And they are ****ing hillarious (as well as extremely talented). Seriously, if you ever get the opportunity to hang out in a room full of our writers, do it. It's really fun. They're crazy. And hillarious.
Worst thing that could happen at E3...

You are missing the point. Xbox 360 and PC owners had to pay around what, 80 or more dollars to get the Collector's Edition of ME2, and the PS3 owners can download all of the Collector armor, plus the Dr. Pepper armor for two dollars. It's BS. Now, if they were to release them for 360 and PC as marketplace DLC, I would cease to argue.
And you are right, 360 and PC did get Mass Effect 1, but that has nothing to do with the point I was trying to make.

Based purely on speculation, I wasn't comparing the 'games' to each other, just the content diversity between consoles.

Ps3 fanboy bias? lol I don't even own a PS3. I own a 360. So calm down Mr. Console Warrior. But I still have a brain and can detect greed in a company. Look at Microsoft's contract with Activision.ADelusiveMan wrote...

This sounds like PS3 fanboy bias to me. As I previously said, if a game is across all three systems there should be no exclusive DLC content. The fact they don't do it is stupid. And just because you are angry that PS3 doesn't get as much exclusive content as 360, it doesn't mean 360 owners like myself should settle for less. You got more DLC content than 360 owners did...you got an exclusive DLC for Mass Effect 2, did you not?
I have no interest in "console wars" or which one is better. They all play mostly the same games so I don't really care. I just hate the idea of exclusive content. There shouldn't be discrimination based on which system you own or where/who/when you pre-ordered/bought the game from (and which edtion ect. )

Okay....then we basically agree.
I don't know if you read my more recent posts, but the whole reason I'm mad about PS3 getting this DLC is because everyone else had to pay like 60+ bucks to get it, and even those are few in number compared to the amount of players who didn't get the Collector's Edition. But on PS3, everyone can get it for $2.00. It's BS.
Edit to add: I'm not a console warrior. I don't think 360 is better than PS3, or vice versa. I just think if there is a cross system game, one system should not get exclusive DLC over another.

I've read there's a lot of story aspects PS3 didn't get either though. I think the logical conclusion is that Bioware/E.A should hand out content equally from now on. At least I can dream.

Yeah and you can get Mass Effect 2 now for $30 or less on the Xbox and PC. If they made it so Mass Effect 2 was $60 on the PS3 and then sold all the DLC to them at the normal price, you'd be ripping them off. What sane person is going to pay full price for a game that's been out for a year? And guess what? PS3 owners didn't get a Collector's Edition either. They get some of the in-game stuff but that's about it I believe.
Also aren't their codes for the Dr. Pepper stuff that you can just enter and get them for free anyways? So you want to pay for something you get/could have gotten for free essentially? Okkaaayyy... (I dunno if the promotion is gone, maybe it is now.)
Honestly making a stink about PS3 owners getting some item that you can't is pretty petty. As long as you get the same core game why does it matter? And if you want the stupid bonus item or whatever that would be on the PS3 so bad... get a PS3? Although I still have no idea how a set of armor or something like that could possibly outweigh the fact you've had the privelege to play the entire series and import an ME1 Shepard. PS3 owners can't import anything. That is huge loss in terms of content. And if you think ME1 is pointless or has no bearing on ME2 I'm done talking to you. I don't see the harm in giving PS3 owners some bonus content to make up for that loss.

I never said they should make it 60 bucks for PS3. Not once did I say that. I said it's stupid that they would give out armor and stuff for 2 bucks that we had to pay 60+ and not give it to us on 360 and PC as well.

I'm not sure either. But I didn't even hear about the Dr. Pepper codes until recently.

It's not petty. I'm saying if you give exclusive content to a cross-system game, you are ripping other people off if they don't get it. If you even cared to read my previous posts, you will see I clarified that. I also think PS3 owners should be able to get ME1. It's stupid that they didn't.
And I would NEVER say Mass Effect 1 is pointless or has no bearing on ME2. And not once did I even imply that.
There is no harm in giving the PS3 bonus content, but if you are making it available to everyone in the PS3 market, why not do the same for 360 and PC? It's a logical choice to make for Bioware or whoever controls this. It would bring in more money.
And aside from that, they got all of the DLC FREE. It shows favoritism on their part for even doing this. PS3 owners. essentially got an ultimate editon of Mass Effect 2 while the rest of us had to pay for it all. It's ripping 360 and PC owners off. If they were to release this for Xbox 360 and PC, I would stop complaining. But they haven't.

So if the PS3 version of ME3 has Helghast armor for Shepard... Xbox and PC people should get it? That makes no sense. If they make stuff exclsuive to the PS3 it'll be for good reason. They won't simply give PS3 folks access to some super duper pistol and then not give it to Xbox and PC people. And if they did so what? Not like you need another weapon/set of armor to beat the game. And the best weapons and armor will always be the core game weapons. Frankly I think appearence and weapon DLCs are already pretty trivial to begin with and that paying money for them is well... silly.

You do know that you can buy a new copy of Mass Effect 2 for like $20 on the Xbox 360 and PC right? And while I don't know the sum of all the DLCs so far I believe it like what $40? So if you get Mass Effect 2 brand new and download all the DLC it's about $60 on the Xbox 360 and PC. Which is what the PS3 version is selling for. So how is that unfair?
Look I don't know what all is in the PS3 version. I dunno if the PS3 version gets the Collector stuff automatically, although frankly niether the Collector Armor or Collector AR is anything to throw a tantrum over. And besides you got a lot more with Xbox 360/PC Collectors Edition. You got a comic, you got an artbook, and you got a bonus disc (kind of). That's the real reason why the Collector's Edition was like $80 or whatever. And guess what PS3 people can't get that stuff. As for the cheaper DLCs I can't confirm, although that may be more of a issue with Microsoft and how they do things. The DLC may also be cheaper as an incentive for PS3 people to get it.
However the next actual DLC "Arrival" is going to be the same price across all platforms. So any favortism the PS3 has been shown is likely coming to an end. And it was done to help sell the game to a likely skeptical audience by offering them a better deal.
I'm sure from here on out it'll all be the same in terms of price and content, and if Bioware has any favortism it's going to be towards the Xbox 360 or PC versions anyways.
