I heard that speaking to a certain king can fix her Marethari quest, However does that mean I first have to activate the end dialogue of the said quest and then talk to Alistair... or do I have to Talk to AListair first and then enter her house to avoid the bug...

A swift respond would be much obliged serah :)

I got the bug where she cried over the keeper dying before I actually went there..then talked to her again, got the quest, and went and did it on my first play.

second play it was fine. I talked to her and she gave me quest. went to sundermount and did it..then back to her home and she balled about the keeper. Sorry but there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason behind this bug.

but if it helps I talked to Alistair FIRST without Merril in my party in my second playthrough when it did NOT bug out.  I can't remember the order I did in my first other then she was in my party..so try no Merril in party -> Talk to Alistair -> Merrils house.

ok I see, Merril being bugged so much is mostly the reason I don't bring her along to stuff (though I really like her) ... When it's patched I wanna enjoy that character some more :/

Ill try talking to AListair first when I get there then, thanks :)

Not sure of the exact circumstances with Alistair being talked about herer, but FWIW, I didn't get the Merrill bug and the save I imported did not have Alistair as king (left Anora on the throne). I ran into Alistair in the streets on the way towards the Arishok and he gave me an amulet after a brief conversation, but that was it. Not sure if that's what you guys are referring to or not.

I can't remember who my party was at the time. I switch active party members around regularly, so Merrill may or may not have been in my party at the time.
