Oh the irony that the healer is the one who's a terrorist.

I'm guessing this is why Merrill can't be a healer (Bioware please bring back access to every class. I loved Morrigan as my healer and I would have liked Merrill to be one as well) and the whole reason I didn't kill Anders is because of this.
Seeing as I have played the final bosses a few times already and not one person in my party has fallen, I'm going to finally role play as what my Hawke's would do and not what I as a Player needed.
Seeing as Anders just brought down the wrath of the Templar's upon his/her sister and others like her. . .Anders it's time to say goodbye and no your name will not be remember because it's "Hawke" the Mage's cry out in the war for freedom.
Now that that is all said I like Anders XD lol in the case of role playing though Hawke just loves his/her baby sister more. .

No, it's not that hard to go on without a healer on normal.S Atomeha wrote...

Yes, agree, the options to kill annoying companions are rather rare. If I could choose I'd probably only keep Anders, Merrill, Varric and Aveline. And the surviving sibling.Lord Gremlin wrote...

lol Isabella stayed with me. Guess my Hawke is too smooth. Everyone helped me out when I sided with mages and maxed everyone's friendship (glitches and all

I was on hard ^^. my thought process was "hey they said origins normal is harder then DAII normal, so DAII hard shouldnt be that much different compared to DAO's normal." so i started on hard and decided to stick with it.klarabella wrote...

Not for me. My first Hawke did what she thought was right without considering the party members' dialogues. Then again, I wasn't playing on nightmare either.

Nope. Healing is not an issue. I had enough healing potions to last through that long final battle with plenty to spare. And if you play it right, Bethany is with you and she can be a healer as well. The Emporium has a large stock of potions and I simply bought them all before the final sequence. You get enough warning in the game that this is the final sequence.
As for Anders, I sent him away the first time and killed him in subsequent plays. He has clearly gone over the edge and with Justice inside him, there is no coming back. If there is one thing worst than a mad scientist, it is a mad mage.

Not me, personally. I knew combat would become much more difficult without magical healing, but there was no way I was going to let Anders walk after what he did. Sebastian was right.S Atomeha wrote...

I still killed him. Didn't need him to heal me, did just fine without.
