Not to mention, Sebastian is being extremely unreasonable and, in his own way, as uncompromising as Anders. I realize that a lot of it was the actual point of what he was doing, but Sebastian is being the immature prince he was back when he arrived at the Chantry by demanding Anders's death for the action. He's not thinking clearly - kill Anders and you have a martyr on your hands. Anders would become a symbol and rallying point for the mages in their uprising. They'd view his actions as the ones needed to be taken if he was killed. Keep him alive and the truth will out. And leading an army to take one man? He can't even raise an army to retake his kingdom. Even if he could, he'd have to retake Starkhaven first to have the manpower to scour the Free Marches for Anders. And he'll have far larger things to worry about. So I don't think that his threat has the teeth he wanted it to.

Sebastian is just a DLC material. think about it. He may or may not appear in the next DA3. i don't care about him. I won't let anyone influencing my decision base on their opinion or thread.

1. Download mod that unlocks talents for companions
2. Make merrill a creation mage
3. Kill Anders like he deserves.

Yeah it's annoying that Anders is the only mage in acts 2 and 3 that has healing, but I kill him every time. It's not thge end of the world if you do.
1. If you are playing a Mage-Hawke, you should at least have the upgraded "heal" spell, and most of my Mage-Hawkes are Spirit Healers either as their first or second specialization (for the passives if nothing else).
2. If you are playing a non-mage, it's dead easy to get Bethany to 100 friendship very early in the game. Leave her behind when you go to the deep roads, and she joins you almost as soon as Anders leaves, and Bethany can heal.
3. As others have mentioned, healing pots are plentiful and cheap by this point.
I find it annoying that Merill can't heal, but after playing a Spirit-Healer/Bloodmage as a Mage-Hawke, I now understand why she can't. A fully and properly built Merril doesn't use mana to cast her spells at this point at all and if you Rivalmanced her, she take far less damage from casting and combat than she regenerates! That means she could have virtually unlimited healing AND be one of the best combat mages in the game. You can almost do this with a mage-hawke, but you do have to switch modes now and again and deal with the cooldown for healing field for a few seconds anyway while you do.

My main complain is that I had to use Anders earlier as they took Bethany from me.

Yes but it's hard to compromise when your adoptive mother, most of your friends, and your home have just been obliterated in a matter of seconds while your best friend is defending the murderer. I'm surprised Sebastian didn't outright kill Anders on the spot.
I was surprised, given that his whole character arc was supposed to be about Revenge Not Helping After People You Love Are Murdered, that his immediate reaction was to threaten revenge. Way to grow through adversity there, Sebastian.

No, he isn't. Let's not blame the victim here.

Um.. he just saw people he cared about get blown up.. he reacted like any sane eprson would = punish the person who committed such a heinous act.
Love the way people try to justify Anerd's cold blooded mass murder. LMAO
P.S. Talking about 'martyrs', Anders made the Chantry mother one. Nice goin', dude, nice goin'.

The problem is that Anders is shaggeable, whereas Seb isn't. Therefore, fangirls (and fanboys) will be blind to the obvious.mrsph wrote...

Still, Sebastian has the shiny armour and doesn't have the thousand yard stare. I'm sure Bethany will love being a Warden ;-)

Not sure how I'm going to handle this on my 2H warrior though... I don't really see myself letting Anders live, so I guess I'll be stocking up on potions.

For the sake of friendship, I was willing to just let him walk away, though I could have nothing more to do with him. Then Sebasion threatened Kirkwall with an army, I figured Qunari rampage, templar/mage civil war and a war with Starkhaven in one decade was too much. "
