Medieval music may not be every persons first choice of easy listening, but through the development of my mods it has become important to me. Thus I recommend to you as a resource music by Jon Sayles He does what he does for free and provides some very good music for inns and background.

I thought I would share this as it is too good to keep to myself. You never know you may find yourself having a favorite 16th century composer (Mine's John Dowland).

If you are prepared to pay a copper or two then this album, The Medieval Lady has some very good music played on original instruments. I have used three tracks off this album in The Last days or the Raven. Heavy rock it is not, but all music has a place I think.

Hope you find this useful.

PJ? i totally feel for sure I'm into using custom music now. Thomas Morley does great battle music - think, Dueling Banjos. And ye nailed it with John Dowland: i think mr. Sayles has a special sensitivity to his compositions, also.

Tks again

ps. the pieces strike me as perfect in duration, music strikes up onEnter, then fades within 90sec.

battle music - Still it Frieth (Thomas Morley)
great tune - Flow my tears (John Dowland)

Those are good choices, I have struggled to find good combat music in this selection.

On the album I mentioned I intend to use the Trotto which is played late at night in the common room as battle music. It works surprisingly well I think as it has pace and is slightly whimsical to be fighting to.

That piece by JD is one of my favorites. I thought to use it as an npc theme for the tender moments but there aren't any so I dropped that idea :)
