So I apologize ahead of time if these are already in the forums, I just wanted to contribute what I could to help those who like to see their achievements pop like myself.  Here you will find the guides to:

Archaeologist
Chantry Historian
Exorcist
Demon Slayer
and a quick link to a nice wiki that will provide a beautiful reference list and location guide for Supplier and Master Craftsman.

Band of Three Achievement - 50g (Archaeologist)

Act 1 -

1.Bone pit location reveal required - no quest needed - Bone Pit
Location: With the location now pinned to your map and accessible head to the bone pit and

proceed to travel to the furthest end, near a blockaded cave.  The Enigma of Kirkwall will be

located to it's left in front of some rocks blocking a path.

2. No quest needed - Lowtown Night - Elven Alienage
Location: Head to the Elven Alienage and you will find the Enigma of Kirkwall located to the

left of Merill's house in a corner behind a sewage drain/unused passage entrance(non usable).

3. Gallow's access required - no quest needed - Gallow's
Location: Once in the gallows head towards the armorer and weapon dealers.  Directly past them

you will find a dead end corner, continue through there and head down the small corridor which

is blocked off by some rubble and a large gate.  The Enigma of Kirkwall will be located amongst

the rubble.

Act 2 -

1. No quest needed - Chantry

Location: Enter the Chantry and take the left side stairs up to the next floor.  Proceed to the

furthest end of the second floor to a dead end housing a table and fireplace.  The Enigma of

Kirkwall will be the book located on the table.

2. No quest needed - Darktown
Location: In Darktown head to the "elevator" entrance/exit off to the west of the map where the

poison vendor is.  The Enigma of Kirkwall will be located in the dead end with the entrance to

the immediately right of you behind two npcs.

3. No quest needed - Qunari Compound
Location: Enter the qunari compound and take a left heading up to the stairs and platform.  The

Enigma of Kirkwall will be located in plain sight between the two large tents.




Act 3 -

1. Justice quest - anders - sewer passage system.
Location: As soon as you enter the sewers kill the first wave and grab the first deposit.  Soon

after, head to the southern most deposit, kill the next wave and the Enigma of Kirkwall will be

located in a corner of the same location as the second deposit.

2. Visit Gamlem quest - Gamlens Greatest Treasure quest - leg 3 - Smetty's Fish Guttery
Location: Upon entering and clearing out the mercenaries, head to the furthers part of the

docks where it slopes down to two boats on each side.  The Enigma of Kirkwall will be located

to the right of the lootable crate.

3. Loose End's Quest - Prior to starting - Templar Hall
Location: Follow the marker, but do not enter Merideths room.  Instead keep moving down the

hall until you reach the next accessible doorway on the right.  Open the door and enter the

room, the Enigma of Kirkwall will be immediately on your left facing into the room on the wall

next to the door.  It is the candle holder/symbol on the wall to the right of the door facing

out.

4. Last Straw Quest* - Docks Night
Location: As you enter the docks from the entrance near the old Qunari Compound, head towards

the statue in front of you (also take a moment to revel in the fact there is now a ginormous

statue of you smack dab in the middle of the docks as well).  Immediately to the right by some

crates will be the last Enigma of Kirkwall.


Notes -
*
denotes an optional grab.  I received the achievement with only getting the three

from each act, never even touching this one for it.  I assume this one is placed here on the

off chance you miss one during the previous acts, or one of those that are quest related.  Good

The History of the Chantry Achieve - 25g (Chantry Historian)

Act 1

Chapter 1* - No quest needed - Chantry

Act 2

Chapter 2* - No quest needed - Chantry

Chapter 3** - Follow the Qun quest - Chantry

Act 3

Chapter 4 - No quest needed - Chantry second level (sorry if I can't remember where on the

second level but it's up there just run around along the edges and in the rooms you can enter

and you'll find it.  I want to say it's in one of the 2 rooms on some crates, but don't quote

me on that)


Notes -

* denotes that the chapters are located on the floor level on the platform where the Grand

Cleric stands. 

** denotes a special try.  This chapter can ONLY be attained during the quest when you fight

against the enemies in the Chantry after finding the quest target.  Stay on the platform you

find him and fight near the pedastal/altar.  You will only have a brief moment where you can

get the chapter (located on said pedastal) after combat before it enters a cutscene and

prevents you from getting it.  I would suggest saving before you enter the Chantry.

Forbidden Knowledge Quest Achieve - 25g (Exorcist)

In act 2 you will receive a letter in your home that will start the quest Forbidden Knowledge.

This quest requires you to locate 5 evil tomes throughout and around Kirkwall and destroy them.

Upon destroying them you will be updated with destroying the 6th and final book which will

award you a few attribute points and a battle with the undying Xebenkeck. This MUST be

completed during act 2 before the final Demand of the Qun quest.

Locations:

Chantry - second floor left side

Viscounts Keep - Throne room to left side before stairs

Sundermount - Past Dalish camp, head to the mountain cave, not the sundermount summit passage

(will be the left path not the right).  To your left right before the zone exit will be a

recently opened cave.  Enter there for the book.

Bone Pit - Head straight to the furthest path and take the slight left elevated path near the

end.  The book will be located in what is called the "rotted mine".

Wounded Coast - Enter the Wounded Coast and take the first path leading right.  Follow it until

you reach the end where it roundabouts and heads into a new direction.  In that area will be an

entrance known as the "dank cave" enter there for the book.


Notes - If you plan on romancing merrill or keeping a friendly build with her, avoid having her

in your party during this as each time you destroy a book you gain rivalry with her (she is a

blood mage afterall).  Also, and this is important, DO NOT pick any option other than destroy

the book for all 5.  If you do it will mess up the quest and you will not receive the 6th and

final entrance/book.  Once you receive the entrance in darktown to the final book (the Fell

Grimoire), feel free to read it for a few attribute points and then select leave it alone to

battle the Xebenkeck.  Also make sure to have a rogue in your party because you will need to

lockpick a door, that is if you are not a rogue yourself.

the three aspects achiev3 - 25g (Demon Slayer)

In act 3 you will not receive any prompt for this quest chain, rather you must find it and

start it yourself.

The first aspect - You will find the first scroll to the quest in the Wounded Coast. As soon

as you enter the coast, take the small dead end path to your left and it will be located at the

end of the small dead end. Activate it and you will get updated with the scrolls quest. After

that keep heading straight along the Wounded Coast until you nearly reach the far end exit.

There you will be assaulted by a few waves of corpse's followed by a named arcane horror.

Defeating them and the named arcane horror will completed the first scroll quest.


The second aspect - Head to Sundermount and as soon as you enter on the ground will be the

second scroll. Activate it and continue through the dalish camp up the path to the Sundermount

Summit Passage where you'll be assaulted by a lone arcane horror followed by a massive mob of

shades and a shadow warrior. Defeat them to complete the second scroll.


The third aspect - The third scroll will be found along this same path up to the passage so

grab that on your way (it's either before the battle, in the same area as the battle, or along

the path after. Check carefully). Head through the passage to the Sundermount Mountain

Graveyard and head past the graves and altar where you released flemeth still following the

path around. Here you will be assaulted by a named corpse followed by 2 named revenants.

Defeat them to complete the third scroll and update the final part of the quest.


The Demon Hybris - Once you have found all three scrolls and defeated the accompanying aspects,

you will be prompted to head to darktown to find the final entrance to the unbound demons evil

lair. Fast travel to Ander's Clinic and once you arrive the doorway will be found at the ladder

along the fence outside of Anders Clinic. Head in and be ready to kick some demon ass!

Every act has four enigmas (of which you need to find three). Your listing doesn't include the one in Viscount's Keep in Act 1 nor the one found in the Gallow's dungeon during the Dissent quest in Act 2.

Ah ok, Thanks for the inclusion.  I just went off of what I found during my second and now third playthrough.

The Viscount's Keep one is a real pain as it has no visible clue whatsoever. You just have to know where it is and click to get it.

You get a complete codex entry for the Enigma of Kirkwall (plus xp) if you find all 12.
