Thank God. A culture that gets it right.
For any tight asses out there that was a joke.

I prefer the Drow society in Forgotten Realms. Where the women rule everything. Why you may ask. Well they always rule society anyway may as well just openly admit it.(except for the Qunari)

i still would have liked to see one... i'm still trying to get over the drastic change in qunari appearance. (i don't believe that ones like sten are the best, they look so much lamer and weaker)
The hornless Sten are the traveling emissaries/diplomats of the Qunari world. I actually prefer finally getting to see what Qunari look like.

Dude how many CEO's do you think depend on thier "Assistants/Secretaries" to do the everyday boring stuff. MOST OF THEM. They may not get the pay or the recognition for it but they are doing all the work. Its just the way it is.

All administration (managers) position are assigned to female, so from our perspective, it almost as if Qunari females are generally in a higher social status than male.

Eh... the female qunari are in the administration and the whole priesthood is female only.

The leaders of the craftsmen and priesthood are women. That's two thirds of the Qunari leadership.AustinKain wrote...

This is wrong. Female qunari have just as many "rights" as male qunari do--which is to say, they are prepared from birth to perform one of the roles for which female qunari are typically best suited, such as a Tamassran (who raise, educate, and evaluate all qunari children) or some other administrative task, or a role in the priesthood.AustinKain wrote...

Qunari women are not "allowed" to fight because no matter how much aptitude for combat a female might show, she would never be as good at it as a male, so it would be inefficient to put her into a role where a man would serve better. It's the same with qunari men; no matter how skilled a male child might be in management, he could never be as efficient in such a role as a qunari woman would, and so he's assigned some other function to which he is better suited.

The Tamassrans wield a huge amount of influence. It's also a female gender role (as all administrative tasks are) which might lead an outsider to conclude that female qunari rule their society. Qunari don't, however, look on rulership quite the same way. The brain could be said to rule the body, but so does the heart, the lungs, the stomach. They are part of the whole.
Qunari believe the genders are inherently better at certain tasks: No matter how much aptitude a male shows for management, he'd never be as good at it as a female, therefore it would never be considered efficient to put him into a role where a woman would serve better. The Tamassrans would find something else he showed aptitude for, and have him do that instead

Hard to get excited about dwarves, though, isn't it? The Qunari culture is much more exciting than a bunch of tiny bearded people and their ladies.
I demand a patch with dwarf escorts in the Blooming Rose.

Female dwarves were seen in Origins, at least. Qunari/Kossith Women, on the other hand, have yet to rear their heads anywhere in the games (only in concept art, thus far).

A kings servant is not the king though, Just because They run errands and prepare papers doesn't mean the CEO is going to listen to them, and run the company based off the suggestions and advice of their secretary? no ceo does that =P

Well, actually, no. Female Qunari are the political leaders. They can be farmers or blacksmiths. It's just that they can't be warriors. But if needed to defend themselves, they will hold a weapon. Simple.

There would surely be women who don't feel like being administrators, farmers and priests just as there are men who don't feel like spending their entire lives in the army.
But hey, too much work because every Qunari in the game HAS THE SAME FACE.

Sure but I'm afraid I will have to send the black helicopters to your house anyway.
This was a joke. Please ignore the helicopter-like sounds outside. Purely coincidental.

Given the concept art they look like they could kick the ass of any human man anyway..
Since
they can also be the priests and the Qun is so prevalent in their daily
lives I imagine they have more power in their society than the men.

They're like asians, you just imagine they have!
Seriously though - there's likely female tal vashoth, but why would there be any around Kirkwall? Any tal vashoth here, is one that ran away from the purely military force that sat in the city for three years before getting butchered.

Because female Qunari are all administrators, and the only Qunari on the ship were warriors.
