Is it possible for a Soldier to solo Arrival?

No squadmates, no backup, does this include no hope?
For context, my Soldier has no attack powers that don't involve a gun.
All the skill points went into Adrenaline Rush, 2 Ammo Powers, Shocktrooper and Heavy Geth Shielding.
I don't even have Concussive Shot!
In the main game, if I ran out of ammo, I'd just have the Squadmembers hammer away at the enemies with whatever powers they could use.
But if I'm solo, I won't be able to do that!
So, if/when I run out of ammo, what do I do?
Hit them with the blunt end of my Collector Assault Rifle?

You've got a temp squadmate with tech powers for the first mission at least. You aren't entirely alone.

Just a guess.

You mean...you have no ammo power...or bonus powers? Yep, you're screwed.

Nothin' in the 'verse will stop me
Also, I'm going to play on Insanity with Heightened AR, Inferno, and Shock Trooper evolved for sure. I might have Heavy Disruptor depending on my Shep's level.
I can try to give some tips playing the soldier, and I recommend checking out this guide from Thisisme8: http://social.bioware.com/38411/blog/

Should be easy enough with a sniper rifle and heavy weapons.

I'ma guess they're goign to make it so you can get through the DLC with any class in the game.
Just a guess.
Like beating Insanity as an Adept? Ha....

No fun in that Pwener. That's like setting the game back to casual (no offense to those that do).Pwener2313 wrote...
This is why people need to use the glitches and acquire 70 skill points. Max powers means you are invincible.

Have you tried Insanity with an Adept? I guess not. I mainly did it for the lore aspect of the game. Being the ultimate Biotic is kinda bad when you can't max out your powers.

(1) If you are a soldier you'll have at least one probably two or three ammo powers.
(2) Bioware seems to design most oncoming horde situations with respawning ammo.
(3)what was your advanced skill?
(4) Most soldiers have the adrenaline skill....use it! This will radically reduce the ammo you need.

I know, I know, but it's not as easy to pull off as you think. It took me a long while to get the hang of it.

Just a thought...wouldn't it be easier to wait until the DLC is available and try it first? Has any part of ME been that difficult? I played it with a soldier through insanity (with all DLC) and it was, except for a couple parts here and there, fairly easy.
Yeah, the Collector trap was no pushover, I died almost 20 times.

As far as biotics are concerned, I thought they were more powerful in ME1. In ME2 a soldier can get one biotic skill and cooldown affects all powers.
Pullling a singularity in ME1 was like making a hurricane. ME2 had to balance shooter/powers. Warp was actually improved with the whole warp bomb and instant health knockdown.

Agreed. ME1 biotics gave you demi-god status, in ME2 they're generally useless. I say this because once you've actually rendered a target vulnerable to biotics, your squaddies usually kill them with gunfire before you can do anything fun. Warp is great against armor, but I miss being able to use lift and singularity like in the old game.
