As far as biotics are concerned, I thought they were more powerful in ME1. In ME2 a soldier can get one biotic skill and cooldown affects all powers.

Pullling a singularity in ME1 was like making a hurricane. ME2 had to balance shooter/powers. Warp was actually improved with the whole warp bomb and instant health knockdown.

Agreed. ME1 biotics gave you demi-god status, in ME2 they're generally useless. I say this because once you've actually rendered a target vulnerable to biotics, your squaddies usually kill them with gunfire before you can do anything fun. Warp is great against armor, but I miss being able to use lift and singularity like in the old game.

Honestly, I don't think my squadmates have ever killed a target that I haven't targeted they're powers to. They always miss and are always way behind me. Im not worried about being alone, Im actually looking forward to it.

No.

Oh, yes. It doesn't even make sense that shields and armor provide any protection against biotic attacks. But that's an old argument.

Biotics were overpowered in ME1 and were rebalanced for ME2. That and we lost a good chunk of abilities Shepard used to be able to use.

The adept would be the most powerful class if enemies did not have protection against them.

By the time you hit level forty, yeah, they were extremely overpowered. Killing eneimies by using lift and having them float away like balloons was ridiculous. Albeit fun.

Yes, it was fun. It also madee Insanity Krogan Battlemasters a joke. Just lift and spam fire them to death.

But realistically. Biotics are supposed to be, you know.... superpowers.

What's the difference? Pull is actually better. Honestly, I use pull and I feel like I just lifted. I don't see the difference. Are they supposed to come to you, or what?

Lift took enemies straight up. Pull's only advantage is that you can fire it around corners. Which you can do with any biotic attack in ME2. I guess it was more predictable.

Adrenaline rush + M-96 Mattock makes me almost invincible:D I rarely rely on squad powers when i have this combo.

Pretty much, there have been a few times where I'm like, yeah, I'd love to hold you to the ceiling as I blast you away.

And there have been times where Jacob pulls an angry Krogan to my feet and I'd be like oh, hello. =]

My soldier has heavy slam.  On the exterior of the shadow broker's ship if you use slam they are sent into space and die.  It's pretty funny.

You've played the game, right?  My soldier has slam.  So I only have to lower shields and armor then I can save ammo by simply slamming everyone to death.

My teammates would kill stuff well, but I often died or got into bad situations because they wouldn't do what I told them to do (like stay behind cover).  My squadmates always acted like idiots on insanity.  But if I kept gave them adequate instructions they'd sometimes be ok and actually helpful.,

With adrenaline, my lvl 30 soldier could take down even heavy mechs with a couple mags of assualt rifle.  Everything less than a boss level creature I could take down extremely easily with adrenaline.  To the point that squadmates were useless unless I had ammo concerns.

I have a soldier that I barely use and he has Inferno granades (very bad power) to complete the soldier thing. Concussive Shot is a joke of a power, doing barely any damage and enemies land exactly were they were standing (heavy concussive). Adrenaline is the only good one. It refills so riciculesly fast I use the other powers to escape the monotomous one-hit-kill shots and have some fun and variety for a change. That's why I prefer biotic powers. You have a bunch of powers and can use what you feel like using, not what's best to win.

Erm...let me think... can the Soldier who has a single ability that not only slows down time, but also reduces damage that the Soldier takes AND increases damage that the Soldier deals solo Arival? hmmm...I wonder...

I have met many in my life that were faster, smarter, stronger, and more powerful than I.
The Revenant+Adrenaline rush is a great equalizer

Waves of enemies. My insanity difficulty engineer will definitely be bringing the Arc Projector. That weapon is your best friend against 3+ enemies and even heavy units. Still, if I run out for that, I still got my drone and Mattock.

My bonus power has long been Warp ammo but I didn't see a lot of barrier equipped enemies though I did see a few with shields. Maybe I should change up to disruptor ammo?

I suck at shooters. Seriously suck at shooters. People who suck at shooters mop the floor with me. But there's not a class I couldn't clean house with solo on insanity with the mattock and stasis. That ability and that gun are so overpowered that its ridiculous. For a soldier with adreline rush, hell, triple the enemies wouldn't slow him down.

I'm more worried about doing it with my Adept. She doesn't have the best weaponry and skills but I guess the Mattock alone should do.

If you have the Mattock then you have the Arc Projector too.  I  cannot stress enough how awesomely awesome that weapon is against waves/groups of enemies.

Yeah, almost all my Sheps use weapons from Firepower Pack DLC.  The heavy pistol, shotgun, assault rifle and Arc Projector heavy weapon plus the sub-machinegun from Kasumi DLC.  About the only exception is my soldier who has Revenant and infiltrator who has Widow. Some people consider them overpowered and a game breaker to a point but when playing on hardcore or insanity.... they really come in handy.

:)
