I'm glad guys were able to enjoy Fenris too, though I don't see him as a 'gay' romance in terms of "Nope, he's gay. Ladies, back away." Actually, if you don't romance him, the banter indicate he and Isabela are getting together for at least recreational fun. Which is why I can't stand to go a game without romancing Fenris. Hands off, wench!

Seriously, though, I can't express how much love I have that at least the original idea was that Fenris would be shirtless in that scene. Honestly, and I'm hoping this isn't just the fangirl in me speaking *ahem*, but the scene would have had quite a bit of impact with a shirtless Fenris looking so tortured as he does and then turning, snatching up his tunic/shirt thing as he walks out of the room. That'd be totally D:... it's still D: but it'd be MORE D:

Fenris ranks even over Varric as my favorite character in DAII. He just always seems to have a snarky comment. The one time I romanced Anders instead of Fenris (and why yes, Isabela was NOT allowed to be in the party at the same time as Fenris. Which was purely coincidence of course..uh huh. Really.) Fenris would make a snarky comment and I'd immediately go "Aww, I love you...wait, crap, no, this playthrough I'm supposed to be loving Anders so I can see how that plays out. Self, stop staring at Fenris.... stop obsessing over everything Fenris says, dammit!" I wanted to do a Sebastian romance play through and...I don't know if I'll ever get to it. My fourth playthrough and I'm TOTALLY back to Fenris being my love interest.
....wait. His tattoos are lyrium. Can we blame fangirling him on lyrium addiction? ::looks hopeful::

I just wanted to add my small 2 cents to all the love in this thread. Thankfully, hatred haven't found it yet. I'm glad that Fenris seems to different players what they want to see. For me, he was totally straight guy, and for OP he was gay without ever indicating otherwise. It means the developers did beautiful job with characters and writing. Thank you for that.
I liked DAO characters enough, but I feel DA2 are deeper, more mature with string convictions and opinions.
So yes, I'm with loveFenris crowd and generally loveDA2. Please don't change where you are heading Bioware, and spend more time developing a game. There is so much potential here that it leaves you wanting more.

I would totally spend my entire salary on a shirtless Fenris if it was available, seriously, even if it was double-price! and I think I earn enough to buy all bio games plus dlcs several times
