what are the best daggers in the game? Since im taking all assassin skills and trying to focus on critical hits wouldnt the daggers that increase Crit damage be best? or just try and get the daggers with the most rune slots and highest DPS?

daggers with high dps will increase skill base damage

The Carta daggers, but they have no rune slots. There's also a dagger that deals nature damage, and another one that deals spirit. Have those 2 equipped and you would be cutting down most of the enemies encountered. These have rune slots.

Finesse is best looking and good damage plus 2 rune slots. Also theres another one, cnt remember the name that you get during the Faith quest for sebastien. both really good!

daggers that do elemental damage are the best. there are 2 different ones that do spirit, one nature, and one cold at least.

Low Blade has 44 Nature, 10% crit, and 2 rune slots so it's definitely something I'd look into. If not, then yeah, Finesse and Carta's Right Hand should be enough. I'm a little bummed about Finesse though because if I remember correctly, it doesn't come as a pair. It's a shame too because it's the most stylish of the bunch.

I actually thought that finesse looked really silly. It didn't seem very stylish at all. The Low Blade and Finesse are probably the best, as several others have said.

One of the mods I'm going to get is the one that lets you change the appearance of your equipped weapons. I will have my matching set.

Though the silence from BW on the issue makes me wonder if there is supposed to be another dagger with that model in game, and it is just bugged at the moment.

so daggers that add critical Damage are not the best?, try and find ones with rune slots and ones that have elemental dmg and not physical?

The other dagger that looks remotely like Finesse is called the Spiders heart. You can purchase it in the gallows in Act 3, I believe from the Weaponsmith guy. Its almost the same style, but different color also.

I highly recommend the Carta's Left Hand for the knockback Immunity. Though I hate it's look, it's an outstanding blade. Only three blades do anything other then physical damage, Low Blade (44 Nature, highest damage of any named blade), Shadow's Claw (35 Spirit) and the Maker's Kiss (26 Spirit with an additional 10 spirit damage)

I have serious problems finding decent daggers throughout the game and has actually made me veer away from melee rogue.

Well there is of course the item packs with weapons that scale with your level, the Sacrificial Dagger in MotA and Hawke's Key in Legacy.
