So, as this is a rather mundane and direct question I am not so sure it belongs under this catagory... but I honestly couldn't figure which it would fall under if not this one, so here you go...

In Origins there was, obviously, the final weapon that was better than all other weapons and all of that. And in Dragon Age 2 there is clearly the final armor that is better than all other armor.

I was just curious if there was also an epic, end game, unique, lore weapon that is available to Hawke that I just missed to go along with his amazingly cool Champion Armor?

I was expecting Vigilance to show up given the DAA epilogue.. but oh well. I never saw any epic weapon like you are looking for.

Finesse is probably the best dagger you can get. Staff of Violation is pretty powerful as well. Nothing overly noteworthy like Vigilance in DA2 so far however.

Oh, and I'm sure they're saving Vigilance for a later chapter or story. So feel free to keep on hoping for it to resurface. I know I am.

I mean, really, it would be kind of sad if they blew their load in the very next game, wouldn't it?

I found that there are better armors than the Champion armor. Which was weird, but not unwelcome.

Oh? I didn't find anything even close. But then, I sort of rushed Act III, so maybe I just missed it.

I started to notice better armor in drops in Act 3 by the time I hit level 24. Mind, they didn't have rune slots so they weren't nearly as adaptable, but they did have higher stats.

Also, Vigilance exists in the game code, and may be for sale from the vendor in Act 2 who sells Cold Blooded. If it shows UP in the game is another question, but it is programmed in as a 2h sword. You can check the wiki for its stats.

Armor better than the Champion armor that i found included the Armor of the Centurion which you get after the fight with Danarius, and some gauntlet's called something like Ser Maura's gauntlets which you loot off some blood mage you kill right before meeting Leliana. Oh ya and i was playing as a warrior, and those are both warrior items i am not sure about stuff for other classes

My favourite two handed sword was The Celebrant (or something like that) you get it off a Revenant in Sundermount after finding a scroll.

Yeah there are some pieces of armor that are better (namely some found in the Black Emporium) but it's only like two different armor pieces plus the stat bonuses and set bonus for the Champion armor is better I reckon.

Vigilance IS in the game files, it's just unobtainable.

Anyone know the stats on the Vigilance sword? Would love to check it out. And why wasn't it included in the game if it's in the in game files?

I was using the Monelith armor or some such like that due to the fact of it's health regeneration but it seems that there is a glitch in the regeneration that nothing regenerates. So I'm going after the last of the Champion Armor.

Also using the two handed sword her song with a rune of cold for the cold damage; great for dragons.

The Stealth Boots for Rogue and Armor of King Something the Forgotten are both better than their Champion counterparts...

Instead of selling these monsters for 100 sov each, they should have put it on some bosses like Hybris or Xebenback..Which would make a bit more sense as players are rewarded for killing difficult bosses.

Watch Vigilance's DA2 be bugged out and you end up getting the wrong version of what you may have had in Awakening (mine, for example, was a longsword).
