So Fenris.
Had to laugh - as my introduction to DA2 I played the commonplace angelic sort during my first run-through as a Femhawke. I found Fenris so self-absorbed, melodramatic, and tiring, exaggerated by the same music that seems to surface when he's wallowing, that I never brought him anywhere. Nice enough voice-actor - when I initially heard him I thought it might be Hugo Weaving. Otherwise, didn't do it for me.
Don't know how this turns out with other storyline choices but if you take this route, you have the opportunity to kill him in the end, which I did in spite of my toon's piety. Was satisfying, and since I had saved right before the encounter, I re-loaded and pwned him again. Couple more times after. This and some good coffee made for a fun evening.
Anyway, low and behold, I'm playing my 2nd time through and rather than 3-man the area where Aveline is courting Donnic, I go back and fetch Mr. introvert and discover he has his own quests he wants done.
Guess the joke's on me but I'm probably not the only one who neglected him during their first run-through, and unlike other companions, if you don't take him anywhere, his personal storyline gets cut short (I think all of the other companions storylines are taken care of through visitations, letters, and whatnot.)
Anyway I hope I still get to smack him around at the end.
[Edit] Ok so I just saw there's a gigantic dedicated Fenris thread. This is really just a word to the wise for other Fenris haters who may have missed some content because of it.
