Really enjoying DA2 just now, especially the cameo's from the original characters :)

I do however have one question:
I've just bumped into Leliana and I'm a little sad. She didn't mention the warden very much, no reference to the romance in DA:O :(
I scanned U-Tube and found a video where she did fondly reference the Warden. Call me sad but I really wanted to hear that conversation as that's the path I chose in DA:O and would have been imported from there.

Anyone have any ideas?

In order for Leliana to recognize the Warden romance, you had to have imported an Origins save with the correct information. It's a bug that hasn't been worked out yet; if you imported any add-on information (Awakening, Witch Hunt), the romance will be de-flagged, making Leliana seem like she'd suffered a serious case of 'hit head on rock'. Ran into the same problem first-time around.

My question is, who is going to be in Leliana's place when I load over my rogue warden's data, because in that data file I killed her during the urn of sacred ashes quest.

Nobody. Her death's been retconned by Bioware. She's playing a larger role this time around, and the game hints at her being integral--or at least involved to some notable degree--with the plot of DA3. Which I personally liked, since I always thought she had potential beyond being Thedas' answer to Joan of Arc.

Which means she's there regardless....Which means they pulled a Conrad Verner.  Jerks lol.

First time around? I'm assuming (and hoping) you found a way around this bug? Did you just import a DA:O save from before all the expansions?

Meeting her again made the entire game for me, but her dialogue had me screaming at the monitor! hehe, ok a bit sad but that's me! :)
I'm really REALLY happy to hear the idea that she plays a big part in DA 3, she really was my favourite character from Origins. Was truly gutted when she didn't appear in Awakenings!

Yeah, I tested an Origins-only save, and she said the "he's dear to my heart" line when I asked her about the Warden.

Thank you both! I'll try the mod first and re-do that section of the game... hoping! If that fails I'll start over with an origin only save.

Hehe, from reading some of the comments on that mod I guess I'm not the only one who got 'attached' to the Origins characters.

No problem!

And no, you're not alone in your attachment to DA:O characters. I'm horribly attached to my Warden, Morrigan, Leliana, and to a lesser extent, Wynne.

I don't like how they bring back characters that you killed in Origins, story fail imo.

Just noticed this now. Thank you very much for the mod :o
Gonna use it untill BioWare comes up a decent fix to the whole problem.

They will tell the story they want to tell. Which isn't necessarily the one you want to hear. Sad, but true.

YAY, the mod worked perfectly. Happy now

Still laughing at myself, that one little sentence has literally made the game for me. I posted a while back in December asking for a 'Happy Ever After' kind of thing involving The Warden and the Love interest, and there it was. I'll keep thinking they heard my plea (although I'm pretty sure it was coincidence;))

It's still a story fail, so I don't see why "They're going to do it anyway." is relevant.

You're not the only one. I was considering ignoring Awakening and Witch Hunt just so I could get this.
Am I sane at all? I think not

If you want more cryptic questions unanswered than you should get Witch Hunt :P
In any event, I also don't see Awakening very important to the plot that interests me the most, but it's still part of the main story and I wouldn't abandon it without a good reason. The Golems DLC I didn't even touch however.

I'd almost be inclided to agree with you... almost.
I'm hooked on the Dragon Age universe, since the first couple of hours spent on Origin the whole thing just grabbed me. I played all the modules (DLC) and awakenings, if I was forced into saying something I would say I was a little let down by Awakenings. I could see they were trying to go somewhere, it just didn't quite happen (for me).
I REALLY missed the relationship aspect from Origin. It just felt like a huge hole in Awakenings for me. The other DLCs (except Whitch Hunt)  I played during origns (I never played Darkspawn Chronicles, never appealed to me - sorry). Witch Hunt I liked, it tried to answer questions but I feel it could have been done a little deeper.
If I'm being completely honest, I would not have missed not playing Awakenings or Witch Hunt. They did feel like after thoughts almost. Leliana's Song I wouldn't have missed for the world, but again it could have been just a little bit more. Not more combat or any longer, just some of the storytelling could have been deeper - some cut scenes of Leliana recounting the story round the campfire for her Origins companions for example. Gel, glue, something to stick things together a little more closely.

Gah, really I'm nit picking here. I love the game, the story and the delivery. I had to try very had to write the slight critique up there. Got a hell of a lot of months to kill time before the next installment! :P
