Bah, I hated Awakening anyway... I deleated all my saves for it. Don't have Witch Hunt though..
If you want more cryptic questions unanswered than you should get Witch Hunt
In any event, I also don't see Awakening very important to the plot that interests me the most, but it's still part of the main story and I wouldn't abandon it without a good reason. The Golems DLC I didn't even touch however.
I'd almost be inclided to agree with you... almost.
I'm hooked on the Dragon Age universe, since the first couple of hours spent on Origin the whole thing just grabbed me. I played all the modules (DLC) and awakenings, if I was forced into saying something I would say I was a little let down by Awakenings. I could see they were trying to go somewhere, it just didn't quite happen (for me).
I REALLY missed the relationship aspect from Origin. It just felt like a huge hole in Awakenings for me. The other DLCs (except Whitch Hunt) I played during origns (I never played Darkspawn Chronicles, never appealed to me - sorry). Witch Hunt I liked, it tried to answer questions but I feel it could have been done a little deeper.
If I'm being completely honest, I would not have missed not playing Awakenings or Witch Hunt. They did feel like after thoughts almost. Leliana's Song I wouldn't have missed for the world, but again it
could have been just a little bit more. Not more combat or any longer, just some of the storytelling could have been deeper - some cut scenes of Leliana recounting the story round the campfire for her Origins companions for example. Gel, glue, something to stick things together a little more closely.
Gah, really I'm nit picking here. I love the game, the story and the delivery. I had to try very had to write the slight critique up there. Got a hell of a lot of months to kill time before the next installment!
