By now pretty much everyone should be aware of the bug(s) concerning passive bonuses from various sources such as Isabela's and Sebastian's companion bonuses and bonuses from armor sets.

My question is, does a re-install of the game fix the bug temporarily? As in, it is fixed until it is triggered again? Has anyone tested that yet, and if so, how were the results?

If this were the case, it would be particularly useful for the item set bug as it would essentially keep you bug free until equip a whole set again which are not very good anyways.

Actually, that won't work.

1. The bug is built into the game. Reinstalling will not change it.

2. The bug manifests in the savegame through saving and loading.

To get rid of it, you can only edit the savegame and then avoid what causes the bug or load an earlier savegame and then avoid what causes the bug.

Avoiding can be done by not having Isabella (for movement speed bug) or Sebastian (for damage resistance bug) on friendship or alternatively only saving and loading with them in your active group.

As Ragadurn said, the penalties are permanently saved in your save game, so if you've already been affected, the only way to fix things is to edit your save game (which fortunately is quite easy).  Otherwise, you need to avoid the problem or find a temp fix that prevents it, like a mod that changes Isabella's friendship bonus.  The thread you're looking for is at social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/300/index/6459070
