Right. I swear I looked for this but I couldn't find an answer so... when one makes a custom music pack, does it then HAVE to be downloaded in order to play the module or is it optional, and if you don't have it you just don't hear the custom music? Thanks!

If a player doesn't have the music files, there'll just be no music, but the game will still work.
Music packs are optional.

Usually, those adding custom music have a small hak with just the 2da file, and then have the bmu files as a separate DL. All players will need the small hak, but only those who want to actually hear the music need DL the bmu collection.
