The nexus golem had a good ring for warriors, and I like the Cold Blooded staff from this mage vendor at the wounded coast. Bonny Len if that's his name in the disused passageway at the docks at night sells a pretty good bow. What are some of the best equipment ingame that's not found in the black emporium?

Best Equipment in stores or just in general? For bows it would be The Jackal's Longbow (Mine Massacre quest) and/or Absolution (Nexus Golem). For staves, it depends on the element/s the mage specialises in: Cold-Blooded (Cold Damage, Magnus' store on Wounded Coast, Act 2), Eye of the Storm for lightning damage (Alone, Act 3), Torch of Falon'Din for fire damage (A New Path, Act 3), Staff of Violation for spirit damage (The Last Straw, Act 3). Corrupted Acolyte Staff (Apparel store, Lowtown, Act 3) is also good for fire/blood-magic mages and does physical damage. Bassrath-Kata is good for healers and does fire damage, but i think you have to be playing a mage to get it.
The best 2H weapons are Bloom and The Celebrant, which you get in Act 3 during an optional quest on Sundermount. The best 1H sword (Glandivalis) you get at the end of that same quest. The best armour is the Champion set, which you get in Act 3 in various locations. Accessories vary, but two of the best ones are rings: Bardin's Folly, sold by the Nexus Golem (for warriors) and the Ring of the Ferryman sold by Magnus on the Wounded Coast (for mages), both in Act 3, both very expensive. The mage ring increases fire and lightning damage by 24%, gives +2 magic and boosts mana regen rate by 9, so its particularly good if you specialise in those elements and use a staff that does either of those damage types (Eye of the Storm, Bassrath-Kata, Torch of Falon'Din). Belts I am uncertain. there doesn't seem to be a catch-all super-belt in DA2, unlike Origins.
