Omg.

I had the best idea on how to connect the story lines.

Instead of after the Deep Roads, have Bethany and Carver become templar or circle mage. Throw away the grey warden option.

Do that in Act 3 instead of Act 2.

Look it make sense. Because in Act 3 we're getting close to the templars and mage. The time passes and you see your sister being hauled off by the templars.

Or your brother suiting up.

And then make them a part of an Act 3 quest line.

It link the three stories perfectly together.

Never happen. I don't like the way DA2 takes away Carver/Bethany to start with and it warps the game play IMO. However, it could never happen at the start of act three, and the very end of Act 2 is honestly the last time it can realistically happen. Why?

Three Words: Champion of Kirkwall

Merdith, herself, if you are playing an apostate states perfectly openly that she knows you are an apostate, hates it, but permits you to remain free for what amount to political reasons. I just played through the confrontation you have with Cullen when Bethany is forced into the circle. There is NO CHANCE that Merdith would permit this to go as sour is it could if it meant that the Champion of Kirwall was openly fighting Templars to save his sisters. It would be a political disaster for Meridith and she knows it (and hates it). The same applies to Carver. The lad's wishes or not, he'd be too close to the Champion of Kirwall for it to be politically wise.

The best idea was to keep Bethany throughout the whole game :)
