After Dissent, my PC told Anders to leave Kirkwall and he became blacked out in the character selection screen. Then I went to the Hanged Man, and found Anders chatting with Varric about the Blackmarsh. I don't think this was intended to happen.

Why not? You're the one that kicked Anders out, not Varric. They can't be friends just because you say so?

Yeah I had that too. But the better part is that he was then kidnapped by a group of rogue mages and templars and I was supposed to care. Hawke even called him a friend.
