I beat ME1 in 14 hours. I beat ME2 in 26. Hopefully ME3 lasts between 34 and 50 hours. I would be happy if it lasted that long.
For the epic conclusion to an epic series, it better not too short.
Mass Effect 3 better have 150 hours of gameplay....

50 hours and I'm good. I mean come on people this is Mass Effect we're talking about. Not Oblivion.

60 to 80 hours and I would be happy. 40 hours would be fine.

Dragon Age 2 averaged around 40-50 hours when played at max. ;P
Dragon Age: Origins averages around 100 hours.
ME2 averaged around 25 hours.
Yeah. 150 hours for ME3 is just not happening.

15 hours of ME1? Only if you sleep for 2 hours every time you complete 3 main missions.MisterDyslexo wrote...

Really? First time I went through I did it in 46 hours (not counting deaths of course). And I didn't speed through it either or anything. But then again thats without DLC...

Do all of the side quests. ;P
I finished the main quests around a 60 hr but when you include DLCs and the side quests, the time extends.

I've done that before. I completed ME1 in ONE day.

As epic and as impressive as a 150 hour game sounds, I personaly hope it isn't that long. Sad to say, I just don't have the time to invest in such long games anymore. Boring and tedious adult responsibilities syphon away my time like it's anyone's business (*sigh*).
It's one of the reasons why I enjoy shooters so much - most of them can be blown away in about 6-8 hours, a quick action romp to get the blood pumping and put a smile on your face.
Both my ME and ME2 playthroughs clocked up around 40 hours each. I'd be happy with ME3 being that long.

I've completed BOTH in one day. About nine for ME1, thirteen for ME2. They were both NG+ though, so it was a bit easier.

Uhh 100 hours BULLS***
Origins, All Dlc and Awakening time included maybe 100 hours or 120 at most. But Origins has never taken me 100 hours even on Nightmare

Quick run- 15 hours
100% run- 40 hours
I would be happy with this.

You didn't. I wouldn't normally speak with such finality, but that's literally impossible to do you're first time on veteran. I am a completionist though. Even when I'm on a speed run, I can't help but look around the environment or read a codex entry I might have missed. I did go back and check my save files though, and my fastest times with all sidequests (including all paid story DLC) is around 26 hours in ME and 36 in ME2. I still hold that ME2 is around 10 hours longer.

150 would be overkill in my opinion. I'd be happy with 30-50 hours for a 100% run.

ME1 supposed average- 20 to 30 hours. Took me around 30.
ME2 supposed average- 30 to 40 hours. Takes me around 75(counting all DLC's).
ME3 supposed average- 40 to 50 hours(hopefully). Hope it takes me around 100(counting DLC's).

I don't understand how all of you can finish both games that quickly. It all sounds like speedruns to me.
For Mass Effect 1 it took my around 25-30 hours
Mass effect 2 + DLC took me around 60 hours
How anyone could finish 1 in 10 - 15 hours, or 2 in 15-20 hours is beyond me (excluding speedruns)

And...is simple to complete ME1 or 2 in about 20 hours... only the main missions and stop. But to speak "complete the game" is all missions.... ALL and not only few...

Game is shorter than all previous Mass Effect games in the series.

Really? It took me only 40 hours to beat ME2 with all the DLC. It took me 34 to beat ME3 with only Ashes DLC. It only took me 32 hours to beat ME1 completely. By the looks of things, if ME3 gets Shadow Broker and Arrival scale DLC then it would be the longest in the series.

Shorter...really? I found it on my 1 playthrough to be about 40 hrs from beginning to....end.
