I hope my buddy can run it high but I doubt it its his CPU and monitor that will hurt him.

AMD Athlon X2 3800+ (2.0Ghz)

3GBs DDR2 667

8800GT 1GB

24" HP 19x12 res

I'll be running it on 1680x1050 or 1366x768 on my Panasonic TC-P50X1. Maxed out is the only way to play for me!!!! lol. This game looks great on Medium though but low is just too poor quality for me. God 10AM seems so far away :(

I've been debating on whether to pick this up for my PC or Xbox. My current PC specs are
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz LGA 775 Quad-Core
Video: GeForce 8800GTS 512MB
Ram: 4GB of Corsair dual channel
Windows 7 32 bit
I also have a 24inch monitor so I like to run games in resolutions like 1920x1200

If I can't run the game in med-high settings with this I might opt for the 360 version and just deal with the stupid controller. What do you guys think?

with your RAM & that awesome CPU you'll run it on high fine or very high at that res but idk about AA on all the way. My buddy has the Q6600 8800GT & 4Gbs of RAM he runs maxed out on a 22" res (1680x1050)

you ocan and will be able to run med/hi at that res I'm nearly sure of it.

My specs aren't near as good on my laptop yet I run at med graphics/high texture

P8600 2.4Ghz

6GB DDR3 Ram

ATI 3670 512mb ddr3

Win7 64bit

@ 1920x1080

the FPS is around 25+ but I have not noticed any stuttering. If it were a first-person shooter than I prob would, but seriously even if 20-30 sounds low, it's not bad at all. Playing for the past hour I did not notice a single hiccup. DO NOT get it on 360.. I beg you, if you want to fully enjoy the game. Combat is so satisfying being able to swap b/t party members on the fly and pausing and hotkeying your menu bar..

Nice thanks. I just talked him into the PC version 2 weeks ago. Got him to buy a new case, PSU, & graphics crad just for this game. He had a Dell S530E or somethign along those lines. Slim tower but now he's running games on High!!!! he never even played comp games aside from Unreal & UnrealTournament back in the day!
  Anyways thanks for the confirmation!

I have the game already. At the back it says the minimum is a Core 2 Solo 2.4ghz and the recommended is a Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz.

This thread is a big fat reminder about why I hate the hardware side of computers. I thought that I'd be close to recommended (medium settings at 1680 × 1050) with my 8600M GS, One or two letters apparently make some ridiculous kind of difference. Now I'm just hoping somebody with a similar card will share results that indicate that I won't need to play at 800 × 600 for medium.

11th hour question before game comes out... im just curious but how decent are 2x NVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT 512mb compared to the nvidia 8800GTS? Sorry ive been out of the computer hardware loop for a while, but does having two 7950 GTs running in SLI help with bringing it up to par? thanks in advance guys

My specs: P4 3.0GHz, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 8800GT 512 MB, WinXP SP2.

I'm playing at 1024x768 (only have a 17" monitor) and have all settings at high/very high w/ AA at just 2x. FPS is kinda ok. Heck, it 'survives' alt+tabbing to the desktop (Mass Effect usually crashes on me when I alt + tab). I'm happy. :D

Deffo get on your pc, that spec will play on high if not highest quality, you will 100% regret getting on xbox.

I have to say a blind man could say that spec was easily good enough for "med-high", read the other posts my friend ;)

Verloren03, why do you have 4gb ram with only 32bit windows? You will not be using all of your ram in that case, upgrade to 64bit as soon as you can. Not only is ram effected but newer GPU cards will not be running on full capablities with 32bit either.

Running this max settings (8xAA) on Phenom 9950 (2,6 GHz quadcore) and 2x Radeon HD4850.

Framerate didn't drop below 60 yet...

My current specs are:

Intel I7 920 OC'd to 3.5 GHz

Nvidia GTX 280 1GB videocard

6 GB triple channel DDR3 memory

using a samsung 2233rz 120 Hz monitor, 1680x1050

Running on windows 7 64-bit

Ingame settings all full, including aa, also tweaked ini file for anisotropic filtering and refresh rate was set at 60 so I changed it to 120. Game runs very smoothly, even in larger battles. I get between 50-85 fps depending on what's happening.

Hope this isn't a double post. I wrote one before but for some reason it didn't get posted.

For one, the graphics card you have is firstly an 8600. This is pretty baseline for 720p HD and higher, but then you see "M" which is mobility, meaning it is furthermore underpowered from it's 8600 standard. THEN, you see it's a GS which is somewhat ~ to M or less.

Basically, no offense, your card sucks for gaming at a nice resolution/settings.

This is what my laptop has:

Core 2 Duo T9600
3GB DDR3 ram (actually four but its got 32bit xp pro on it preinstalled <_<)
ATI Mobility FireGL V5700.

My home computer (near the top of this page) runs it maxed, including AA (which anything more than 2x or 4x on 1920x1200 is overkill). My laptop however runs it decent but not great at 1650x1080, medium textures, medium graphics, no AA, everything else on.

Depending on your other components, your graphics card might be able to do medium settings at native res. This game isn't THAT intensive, honestly.

A64 X2 5000+@3Ghz, GTX 275, 4GB DDR2. Should play it just nicely at 1080p. In any case I'll be updating the cpu to a 955BE before Christmas.

it's true the game is NOT intensive really.. at medium settings I'm sure most computers within the past 2-3 years can handle it and laptops within the past year that have a decent GPU can run this game fine. It is well developed it seems and even at 20FPS the game does not really stutter so don't be concerned too much about framerates! Speaking from personal experience with the game.

It's a bit slower than the 8800, but you may still be able to hit high settings.  A single 7950 should be fine for medium.
