As long as they actually patch the game, I won't care. Until they do, it's a major problem. This game has too many obvious flaws to just look past. I mean hell, most of these glitches are obvious on people's first playthroughs. You're saying some game tester couldn't figure it out? Please.

This is the first Bioware game I've played in which I have actually discovered major bugs just by playing the game. Bioware doesn't produce the most polished games but usually when I find a bug it's relatively minor (like the pop-in graphics in Mass Effect or "ice skating" in KOTOR), but I guess they just ran out of time to get the really bad stuff fixed.

I'm surprised there are more complaints about the bugs then there are about Act 3's terrible writing.

And meanwhile the people that don't have access to LIVE or PSN are screwed.

This has been true for years now, really.
Online access has become a conceit, where publishers think developers assume they can crap games out and fix it later with patches and DLC. Convenience becomes necessity. Thus, giving them too little time.

...fixed... They did what they could in tihs short developement process, a good RPG should at least have another year to flesh out the story and give us more choises. Whoever said two years to be enough -- be it BIoware or EA -- deserve a defenstration from his office.

I'm speaking in general. In this case EA is likely at fault but in the entire industry both publishers and developers are guilty of this.

I was ok with a lot of flaws through Act 2. I put them off because you got that sense that things were picking up and the story was going to glue it's self together soon. REALLY soon. And I was ok with suffering some annoyances for that moment of real cohesive story telling. Instead Act 3 showed up and the very instant Best Served Cold starts... well let's just say I was furious to no end. I reloaded twice thinking it was another bug, kept waiting for a Paragon/Renegade interrupt or SOMETHING. Nada.

That's when I just coasted through the ending. After that there was no redeeming quality to the game and every flaw just made me madder and madder. I was swearing at the game (not what was happening, just the game it's self) by the time I was holding down the turbo controller A button on Meredeth. It got downright ugly in here I tell you.

They had to make act III or the Seeker wouldn't be doing squat interrogating Varric because there was nothing wrong with the chantry. Sadly this act III felt very abrupt. I hope they fix the inumerous bugs soon. Since this was released in a rush, I think Bioware should make a wrap-up free DLC that explains incoherencies/what happened to the campion after all.

Probably by not doing Sebastian's final companion quest.

Nathaniel and the Architect (I know %100 that I killed the Architect in Awakening but he's alive in 2) way to retcon your own game

Wow, I knew they kept Leliana alive even if you imported a game where you killed her, and similarly for Nathaniel, but the Architect now too?  I'm kind of glad now for the import glitch... it prompted me not to import my own saves and thus kept me from this ridiculousness.  I really hate that type of inconsistent/pseudo-consistent retconning.  It's almost like they should just introduce a cheesy Resurrection spell and be done with it.

Oh and auto-attack right? Instead of delaying the game we're going to release it half-finished and then patch everything.<_<

That generates cash flow to pay the programmers to stick around to patch everything. The industry has many games that have never been releasted such as Nukem Dukem Forever. Companies will go out of business when games are not released in a timely manner and so you get nothing to play or complain about. On the PC the bugs I found are minor and few. A couple of side quests that cannot be finished and a high dragon whose body sometimes appear and sometimes does not when you kill it. As bugs goes, DA2 is much better than Fallout New Vegas.
