As for who SHOULD die...
The Turian Councilor.
That is all.

Possible for Shepard. I bet we will see some crew deaths, like perhaps Kelly or Joker. Maybe Anderson, Udina or the Council.
I could see Joker giving his life to save Shepard, the Normandy, or even EDI (as much as EDI and Joker fight, its kinda like a brother/sister relationship, love/hate-- its cute).
Anderson dying? I could see that being possible too, to aid Shepard in his mission. Udina? He wouldn't get his hands dirty for Shepard, neither would the council.

I'm really really hoping for multiple endings in ME3. That way people like you can have your tragic hero ending, and people like me can have our victorious hero ending, and even the people who want to see the Reapers win can have that ending (kinda like the non-canon "Shepard Dies on the Suicide Mission" ending.) 'Cause I've said this before, I want Shepard to live. I like my happy endings, and those kind of tragic 'self-sacrifice' endings just annoy me these days.

where is the drama and saddness and depth in that

Jack got laser to face, Tali died in engine room, Thane impaled, Garrus after vents, Samara got collected by seeker swarm.
Only Dr. Chakwas survived from abducted crew.

Honestly though, I'm terrified for Tali and Garrus. I somehow feel like they're the only ones on your team that Bioware might make you sacrifice.

Drama and sadness and depth are overrated. I enjoy an ending where I, y'know, WIN.
Don't get me wrong, 'bittersweet' has it's place... But not for me, not at the end of a trilogy where I've kept my guy alive through hell and back. Games like this, I want the ending to be epic and have a feeling of "F*CK YEAH", not a feeling of "Aw, F*CK!".
See the difference?

Thats part of the reason I play games to escape reality. So please for the love of good, make multiple endings so that you can please everyone. I think forcing someone to die is overrated.
Im all for a Happy Ending, but I have NO ISSUE with them making it very hard to get a happy ending in which you save everyone.

Shepard dying for humanity is a cliche. Of course Shepard killing everything and living happily ever after is a cliche, too.
I want CulturalGeekGirl in this thread.

Actually, I'd PREFER Bioware make it almost impossible to save everyone (Note I said 'almost'). It'd only enhance the awesomeness of the moment and the overall sense of accomplishment when the smoke finally clears and everyone is left standing.

Agree COMPLETELY. Make the happy ending have to be earned and those that are determined to get it will.
I would also not be against it requiring two playthroughs to get the "mega happy ending". Make it such that only the highest leveled up characters have the ability to do what it takes. I just want the happy ending option to be available. T

Indeed, the cerberus plot armor is getting rediculous. Anyone here read Retribution?Tarek wrote...

I did read Retribution. Even after reading that book I still find it hard to completely hate the Illusive Man. Yes his methods are sick, but his reasons for doing what he does always have a some sort of logic that makes sense.
