I wouldn't go that far (unless Liara and/or Shepard dies). In the case a lot of well loved characters get killed in ME3, I think I might snap my ME3 disk in half (or 4 pieces, or more, depending on which characters are killed)

Shepard dying would make me sad for real. He deserves a place in a forest and a neat house with his LI. Or at the very least diplomatic immunity so he can kick the Dismiss Turian square in the nuts without any legal action taken.

Don't forget there's still an entire race of slavers, criminals and other scum out there (AKA Batarians) that need to be taken out in an all out war, we could use Shepard on humanity's side once more.

I kinda like that idea. I mean, captain kirrahe once said some salarian 'defeated a nation with a single shot' so I don't see why Shepard couldn't do it. Imagine that, Shepard taking out Harbinger with a single accurate sniper bullet.

Seems one universe is not enough for my Shepard. He has to influence all the others. Greedy <removed as it referred to a child who's mother gave birth to him ourt of wedlock>

Agreed. If it is done right, then the option of having to do an ultimate sacrifice would be a great ending to a great trilogy. I really enjoy sad endings, they really make me feel in touch with the game. I would hate to leave Liara, but if it is done right, and the option is there then I might try it.

I kept her alive in two playthroughs to see if I can get a more bloody end for her in ME3.
I wouldn't mind Cerberus resurrecting her on my other playthroughs, so I can kill her again.

Though I'm sometimes a fan of ultimate sacrifice. Buffy comes to mind in Season 5. I like also having my hero live and continue on and such.

If anyone had to die in the ME game I would pick Grunt. He had little to no personality, was not as awesome as Wrex and frankly I never used him.

Personally, I'd like a possible (as in Shepard can prevent it) death for Shepard's LI. A possible Ultimate Sacrifice Ending, like Phoenix suggested could also be quite interesting.

Jack may die... I never got to like her, one crazy human on the ship is enough (and I have dibs on that title) in my first playthrough I HATED Miranda / Jacob, as I was an anti-cerberus player, in my later playthroughs Miranda got a little more love from me... I'm still trying to get a playthrough where I lose the crew (except Chakwas) and only Jacob, Miranda & Jack die that would end Cerberus' reign over my ship! rofl

I'm really really hoping for multiple endings in ME3. That way people like you can have your tragic hero ending, and people like me can have our victorious hero ending, and even the people who want to see the Reapers win can have that ending (kinda like the non-canon "Shepard Dies on the Suicide Mission" ending.) I agree 100%.  Reality has enough tragedy.  I turn on the news and I see nothing BUT tragedy these days

Thats part of the reason I play games to escape reality.  So please for the love of good, make multiple endings so that you can please everyone.  I think forcing someone to die is overrated.

Im all for a Happy Ending, but I have NO ISSUE with them making it very hard to get a happy ending in which you save everyone.

Actually, I'd PREFER Bioware make it almost impossible to save everyone (Note I said 'almost'). It'd only enhance the awesomeness of the moment and the overall sense of accomplishment when the smoke finally clears and everyone is left standing. 

I would also not be against it requiring two playthroughs to get the "mega happy ending".  Make it such that only the highest leveled up characters have the ability to do what it takes.  I just want the option to be available.  

Sounds reasonable.

one thing that I would not mind seeing is people not losing their lives, but being permanently damaged, (like Garrus getting shot in the FACE but surviving) I would love to see a mission where Tali gets a suit-malfunction and you have a limited time to save her (with the healthbar) where you have to kill kill kill, pick her up, move forward, kill kill kill etc to get back to the Normandy! though this might get tough to get to work... though I would LOVE to see that =)
