WREX!!! He IS the best character in Mass Effect. Garrus, Tali, and Grunt are cool too.

In fact, BioWare should just get rid of all of the characters, and give us like 10 Wrex's.

problem: VS will be there, no matter what... Liara will be there, no matter what, so I don't need them as squad mates.. because their presence will be in ME3 anyway!

Tali, Garrus, Legion, Mordin, Grunt / Wrex (prefer Grunt as Wrex has to lead Tuchanka!), Thane, Zaeed.

Kal Reegar would be cool, because he wields a heavy weapon! lol I want more characters to be able to carry one or more of the heavy weapons (Tali = Arc Projector, Grunt = Firestorm, Zaeed = Rocket launcher)

nobody should be able to handle the Nuke launcher except for Shepard and/or Grunt, just limit our arsenal to having only one of each (to prevent Rocketlauncher spam!)

I doubt Zaeed or Kasumi will be there because they were on contract with Cerberus for the ME2 suicide mission...

Assuming Big Ben can't be a squad member whether because he wasn't in any of the games at all, or whatever the reason, then replace him with Samara. And assuming Liara is going to be busy because of things that happened in LOTSB, then replace her with Mordin.

I think it might be good to have some squad mates temporarily unavailable from time to time throughout the plot, maybe convincable otherwise with side quests, having romanced them in ME2/stayed faithful to from ME1, or paragon/renegade dialog options. Wrex and Liara in particular since they have big obligations elsewhere. Just to add some variation and force you to mix up the squad.

I would rather guess who would avaiable. Unless bioware pulls off (and I wouldn't necessarily hold them against this) a situation where the new Normandy Crew has to separate (again?), I would assume most of them would easily available.

1. Garrus (He's available in both games).
2. Tali (She's available in both games).
3. Grunt (No reason to be anywhere).
4. Legion (Assuming you didn't give him away).
5. Jacob Taylor (Assuming Cerberus isn't looking for her).
6. Jack (Assuming Cerberus isn't looking for her).
7. Miranda Lawson (Assuming her father or Cerberus isn't looking for her).
8. Mordin Solus (He's in his twilight years as a Salarian).
9. Thane Krios (Diisease).
10. Ashley Willaims/Kaidan Alenko (One or the other is dead, and the other is with the Alliance).
11. Liara T'soni (Busy... well, you know).
12. Wrex Urdnot (Busy with running the Krogan).
13. Zaeed Massani (DLC. Plus, he has no reason to stay).
14. Kasumi Goto (DLC. Also no reason to stay).

I'd be shocked if I don't have Garrus or Grunt along.
