No offense intended, but if bioware/ea don't apologize for DA2 then people are going to think they will continue with this horrible mess and carry it into DA3.

No one wants another DA2, except maybe less than 1%. The rest of the 99% want DA3 to be done right.

Are you serious? Why should EA/Bioware Apologize? it's a frickin' game. Did it harm you in anyway? Did it make you puke? Did you lose Life and Limb? Were furry cute bunny wabbits murdered?

It's their business, their franchise. It's up to them to sell it and it's up to us consumers to decide whether to buy it.

They can make it Dragon Age 3: The Sims Medieval Total DLC if they think they can milk you for another dime.

Apologize? What you want them to say? We will make it all better again, so please buy? lol. If it doesn't meet the sales number or what Bioware wants, then maybe they'll meet your "demands".
But knowing bioware, they'll probably listen to the reviews and whiners and improve on the next one.

I for one liked the story, and liked how the game was in very playble form for the consoles; felt origins on console felt clunky/awkward--traded it to get the pc version. It's not one the best game, but it's not a horrible game, in which Bioware needs to apologize for anything.

Apologize for making a damn fine (if flawed, like DAO was) game?

No, I don't want another DA2. But I don't want another DAO either. I want something better. If BioWare starts trying to make clones of previous successes, then I will hesitate to buy their games.

I applaud Bioware for mking such a polarizing game. Some absolutely love it and some dream about it being set aflame. Clearly they did something right for it to garner so much attention. I for one have found it to literally be the game i have most enjoyed ever!!! So i want DA3 to be more like DA2. And just to counter the hate and 0/10 reviews ill preorder the collecters edition of the sequel and purchase all dlc/expansions available for this game. Just to ****** of those entitled ****s who are demanding an apology becaue they view their opinion as law.

If it's the game you've "enjoyed the most ever" you clearly have not lived long enough to form an educated opinion.

You're thinking of DAO where everything was covered in a layer of mud. DA2 has lots of color!

- Sorry. Couldn't help myself.

Ford owes me an apology because my Focus doesn't go as fast as I would like it to. If they don't issue one people will be hesitant to buy another car from Ford.

People who believe that they deserve an apology, simply because they don't like the game, are idiots.

I'm not even going to go into why this is a horrible analogy. If you knew about cars then this wouldn't make sense at all.

How interesting... someone complaining about others complaining... What's even more interesting is that you have no other Bioware game registered. Are you from Bioware's new target audience? Judging by your anger in your post, in addition to the lack of prequel game registrations, I'm inclined to believe you are. So..... What prestige are you? 30th? :P

I'm going to run with your asine line of thought here. So because I've been on the forums longer than you my opinion is worth more than yours.
Well my opinion is is you've just made yourself look stupid with that comment and as I've been around longer it trumps anything you can come up with.
More seriously why did you feel the need to try and be all superior on someone because you have more game registrations his opinion is just as valid as yours more so since you came out with that particular stupidity.

It makes sense in the fact that a product was made that doesn't do what I hoped it would and feel entitled to an apology.  Regardless of the quality of the analogy, the demand for an apology is ridiculous.  Thanks though for pointing out my limited knowledge of cars.

So, you want them to apologize for a flawed game that, ultimately, comes down to the same thing DA:O was [bland combat, reused areas, decently lame quest variety, terrible graphical quality, a few cases of bad voice acting]?

My, my, sometimes people like you need to re-attach your head because it sure isn't there right now. Apologizing for a game -- a game that you don't like, which is fair, but a game that had similar issues to it's predecessor that you didn't ask for them to apologize for -- simply because you don't like it?

My, we are suffering from Gamer Entitlement, aren't we? Would you like some DLC raeg to go with that entitlement, or would you prefer to sit this one out and complain about a game very similar to the previous one with a fair amount of changes -- changes that obviously some will like, some will not -- and then wait for your chance to raeg at more DLC?

All I have to say to this is: trollfaec.jpg makes me think of your post and requires me to never take you seriously.

Especially with them 'apologizing'. Really, more than a tad bit naive aren't we?

I promised myself I wouldnt complain about this game no matter what.... i did enough of that with every piece of news that came out. BUT I hasve one major issue I cannot ignore,

Im just curious do Bioware believe that reusing the same cavern, warehouse, foundry interior. is exceptable for a company their size? Alot of this game wreaked of lazyness but this was borderline disgusting. Maybe you should take a look at another Fantasy sequel many are eagerly anticpating and see how their level designs vary?... Just a thought

1%? The people on this forum are a vocal minority, regardless of which side of the line they stand on.

There are a few things Bioware need to put their hands up in the air and admit they were wrong about (keeping no auto-attack a secret, countless bugs, re-used maps) , but they most certainly do not need to apologise for the game as a whole.

When purchasing a car you know up front what the car is capable of. If you bought a Focus and are upset with the fact it isn't as fast as a Ferrari than that's your fault. You can test drive a car, the cars numbers are available for you to compare. Ford has certainly not let you to believe the Focus is anything than an econo-box. None of these apply to a game. The demo showed a extremely small portion of the whole experience and was advertised as an amazing addition to a series. An epic that was to span 10 years. Some people feel they were lead astray with a product some can't even play. The buyer of a game, unlike a car has no way to educate themselves aside from purchasing the game and by then it's too late for most. It does not do what it was advertised.

You are assuming everyone thought DA2 wasn't good and that we want to continue the tale of the Warden.

What's the point of making DA2 if you're not going to stick to its principle gaming mechanics, story and atmosphere? Should've made it a console-only edition, or a stand-alone expansion (which they could've cut on "content" and thereby generating less criticism for reused areas).

And I don't get these people who are loving the new direction DA2 took. Apart from that it was an obvious cash-in, surely there are better action games available for console, which has even more "streamlining" and buttons for awesome?

And I don't get the people who don't see the good parts of DA2 and ignore the bad faults of DAO.

Not sticking to its principle gaming mechanics, story and atmosphere?? What game were you playing?

and i hate people who defened something thats not even DA anymore there r no good parts of DA2 cuz it does not feel like DA without elves and drawfs it does not feel like DA with the fast fighting it does not fell like DA with fighting darkspawn the looks like allins it feels like ME2 and thats not what the fans asked and lets not forget the ME2 convo wheel they added to the game makeing it like ME2

well it is still DA just not what you and many others wanted. It's still in the DA universe, it still has the DA lore It's just a different game. I can Kinda agree that it shouldn't have been called DA2 but DA: Rise to Power

Whats the point in Apologising if they are just gonna be forced to quit/be fired anyway..

I mean, if you were a senior person,
and told that your gonna be fired....
but as your final act, you MUST apologise to the angry public who are not showing much appreciation for your attempts at writing a compelling story.

Tell ya what..
If it were me, and I was defo getting the boot.
I would be like
'Up yours..... Im not apologising to those screaming whiney kids'

EA are the Devil
Bioware made a pact with the Devil

Neither of these firms will issue an apology, they will do the 'A' typical, put a positive spin on things approach.

Eg - In interviews, if asked directly about the crap aspects of the game, they would word their replies very carefully, possibly of queue card - Something like this.
"We are aware that there are a minority of players who did not like that aspect of the game, but we are confident that the majority of players loved the game as a whole. We have taken on board alot of new ideas and concepts, and unfortunately, its not always possible to please everyone."

If you want to use that as an anoloy you have to say that you just did buy a Car and they want to sell you the Doors Windows and wheels as a DLC.
And if you ordered a Car from Ford and get a bicycle i really would ask for a apology and get you  money back :)

When it comes down to it, I am sure that Bioware are taking details from constructive feedback. Trouble is trying to actually find it amongst threads like this. DAO wasn't perfect by a longshot, neither was DA2.

At the moment Bioware have gone, understandably into defensive mode. When you invest a lot of time into something it's hard to take criticism, especially knee jerk ones. Good constructive criticism gets lost.
