Bioware/EA must apologize for DA2 or else people will be hesitant to buy DA3.

Bioware has made a lot of different kind of games. In my opinion there are some extremely good ones, and a few bad ones. Some might think they are all bad, and another loves 'em all. People seem to view DA2 as some kind of a catastrophe = the first bad game. I think there has been multiple medicore games after BG2.
If you think DA:O is a good game, then play it. You can play it as much as you want. As I have stated:"There will never be another BG2 or DA:O", and why there should?

They don't need to apologize for anything.
I do look forward to the day, when previewing DA3, the next lead developer trashes DA2 like Laidlaw does DA:O though. That'll be fun.
yes, i see a patern in it too. lol

DA2 is at best tedious.
Out of all the previous Bioware games, I have always been sad that the story was coming to an end and that my first time through a game was almost over.
With DA2, I am just hoping that I can stand the monotonous instances, the lack of backstory, the overal simplicity of the main story, etc... so that I can finish the game and forget it exists.
I don't think we deserve an apology. They made their first game that has been ill received by the fans. Hopefully it will be their last. However, I wouldn't bet on it especially with how Arrival is being received.
I do hope that they don't make these mistakes again, because at this point with DA2 sitting so sourly on my tongue, I will not be buyin DA3 or any DLC for DA2 unless it gets a majority of good reviews from friend on this forum and from gamers in general.

Augh...fine. You clearly take yourself very seriously. Anyways my point really had nothing to do with the product itself but rather the demand for an apology.MelfinaofOutlawStar wrote...

It makes sense in the fact that a product was made that doesn't do what I hoped it would and feel entitled to an apology. Regardless of the quality of the analogy, the demand for an apology is ridiculous. Thanks though for pointing out my limited knowledge of cars.MelfinaofOutlawStar wrote...

Ford owes me an apology because my Focus doesn't go as fast as I would like it to. If they don't issue one people will be hesitant to buy another car from Ford.
I'm not even going to go into why this is a horrible analogy. If you knew about cars then this wouldn't make sense at all.
When purchasing a car you know up front what the car is capable of. If you bought a Focus and are upset with the fact it isn't as fast as a Ferrari than that's your fault. You can test drive a car, the cars numbers are available for you to compare. Ford has certainly not let you to believe the Focus is anything than an econo-box. None of these apply to a game. The demo showed a extremely small portion of the whole experience and was advertised as an amazing addition to a series. An epic that was to span 10 years. Some people feel they were lead astray with a product some can't even play. The buyer of a game, unlike a car has no way to educate themselves aside from purchasing the game and by then it's too late for most. It does not do what it was advertised.

The only thing they have to apologize for is the massive reuse of dungeons...

I dont think many people genuinly belive Oirigins was perfect... i dont believe I have EVER played a perfect game. However for me origins had flaws of course it did but was a genuine pleasure to play. Im afraid I cannot say the same for DA2. DA2 seemed to descend into a game of follow the golden arrow.
As some one else has said I do not expect an apology but it might be nice for them to admit that they have done things wrong.. unless I have missed this somewhere I have yet to see them accept this. No amount of spin, salesmanship, exsvcuse will convince me there is an exscuse for thier disgusting reuse of.... well lets face it the entire games areas.
Kirkwall spans 10 years a brutal battle errupts in its streets, and other shenigans are you seriously telling me all that happened is a few crates got moved around?
The Caverns... full on criminal lazyness, you didnt even alter the minimap to remove corridors that you couldnt go into!
The Foundry/Warehouse/Docklands my god EVERY single one was the same!!
I dont agree in baiting or insulting game developers it doesnt help, but I am a little offended that people seem to be suggesting I should just accept a game reeking of lazyness without comment. Yes developers work hard, however I work hard to pay for a game.... it works both ways guys

The red lantern kitchens had the same setting, that blue octagon or hexagon tiled flooring with some knocked off.

Indeed Id have been ashamed to put out a free mod for DA origins that was so half arsed. I am curious as to whether Bioware believe that this was acceptable. I have yet to see anyone defending this particular aspect of DA2 maybe Bioware would like to give it a try I could do with a laugh ala "Some have horns some do not"... Touche

So no, they shouldn't do it. In this industry when devs apologize they basically say "next game will be ****"
Bioware just needs to fix gamebreaking bugs, like friendship bonuses.
